Device and method for separating value documents, and value document processing system
09617092 · 2017-04-11 · ·

An apparatus and a corresponding method for singling value documents, in particular banknotes, includes a support means and a conveyor belt for picking a single value document from a stack of value documents lying on the support means. The singling device has a positioning device by which at least a portion of the conveyor belt can be moved back and forth relative to the support means between a first position and a second position. In the first position the conveyor belt cannot touch the stack lying on the support means. In the second position the conveyor belt can touch the lowermost value document of a stack lying on the support means and pick the former from the stack at least partially.

Sheet feeders

A sheet feeder comprises a feed deck for supporting a stack of sheets (65) to be fed. The feed deck may be formed by a bed of freely spinning rollers. A feed block (62) comprises a friction pad (66) that projects from the bottom of the feed block (62) towards a drive belt (42) to define a gate therebetween. The drive belt (42) frictionally engages the underside of a bottom sheet of the stack (65) and urges the sheet towards the gate. The feed block (62) comprises a front face (72) immediately upstream from the gate, which is inclined at a sharp angle to the feed direction. The friction pad (66) comprises a lower face that is substantially parallel to the feed direction and does not intersect the plane of the feed block front face (72).

Sheet feeding device and image forming apparatus

Provided is a sheet feeding device and an image forming apparatus capable of performing sheet feeding by electrostatic adsorption at a low noise with a simple configuration. A first outer nip conveying roller 201b and a second outer nip conveying roller 202b that nip an adsorbing member 200 supported in a state an inside is loose by a first inner nip conveying roller 201a and a second inner nip conveying roller 202b are provided.

Mail processing system with a mail hazard screening machine

A mail hazard screening machine is configured to compress mail pieces or envelops through compression rollers and draw out this air and any hazard that may have been contained in the envelope. The system may be able to detect a wide range of hazards such as chemical, biological, radioactive, nuclear, explosive and drugs, abbreviated CBRNE+D. The sample air, the air drawn out from the hazard screening system, may be directed to one or more analysis devices and the mail processing machine may be stopped if any hazard is detected. The mail piece containing the hazard can then be found and further inspected safely. A mail feeder system may be configured to deliver mail pieces to the hazard screening system without compression of the mail pieces or envelopes.

FEEDER WITH MOVING BELT
20250122038 · 2025-04-17 · ·

The present invention relates to a feeder module for discharging sheets into a converting machine. The feeder module comprises a movable discharge conveyor comprising a plurality of belt conveyors which are configured to move between a discharge position (DP) in which the belt conveyors are contacting the lowermost positioned sheet in the stack and discharges said sheet, and a clearing position (CP) in which the conveyor belts are located underneath the loading surface.

The present invention relates to a feeder module for a converting machine, the feeder module comprises an upper feeder assembly, and a lower feeder assembly comprising a loading surface configured to receive a stack of sheets. The upper feeder assembly (20) comprises a gauge (32), wherein a distance (d1) between a vertical distal end of the gauge and the loading surface defines a clearance through which a lowermost positioned sheet in the stack can pass at a time. A feed roll assembly (34) located downstream of the gauge comprises an upper feed roller (35a) and a lower feed roller (35b). The lower feeder assembly (22) and the lower feed roller are displaceable in the vertical direction.
