Sheet feeding device and image forming apparatus
A sheet feeding device includes a pickup roller, a lifting/lowering mechanism, and a driver device. The lifting/lowering mechanism includes a restricting member that releasably restricts the pickup roller from being lowered from a lifted position of the pickup roller at the lifted position. In the sheet feeding device, the driver device drives the lifting/lowering mechanism so that the pickup roller is lowered from the lifted position of the pickup roller, and a drive suspend operation is performed in which the driving of the lifting/lowering mechanism by driver device is suspended after a predetermined time during which the pickup roller does not contact a sheet loading tray or a sheet on the sheet loading tray elapses from a time point when the pickup roller is released from being restricted by the restricting member at the lifted position.
MEDIUM CONVEYING APPARATUS TO KEEP SEPARATION ROLLER PRESSED TOWARD FEED ROLLER
A medium conveying apparatus includes a feed roller to feed a medium, a separation roller opposed to the feed roller, a motor to generate driving force by being supplied with electric power, a cam member rotated in a first direction by the driving force to press the separation roller toward the feed roller, and a driving force transmitting mechanism between the motor and the cam member, the driving force transmitting mechanism being configured to transmit the driving force from the motor to the cam member and provided such that the cam member keeps pressing the separation roller toward the feed roller without rotating the cam member in a second direction opposite to the first direction even if electric power supply to the motor is shut off.

A processing system includes a stacker on which at least one medium recorded with an image is stacked, a holding unit configured to hold the medium, a processing path extending from the stacker to the holding unit, a pick roller configured to transport the medium from the stacker to the processing path, a reading unit configured to read the medium transported through the processing path, and a control unit configured to store indication data indicating an index of whether to transport a medium to the holding unit, wherein, when receiving a processing instruction from a user, the control unit is configured to cause the pick roller to transport a medium from the stacker to the processing path, and determine whether to transport the medium to the holding unit, based on read data and the indication data, the read data being acquired by reading the medium by the reading unit.
SHEET INPUT MODULE HAVING INTERLOCKING SHEET-STOPPER STRUCTURE AND PRINTING DEVICE USING SUCH SHEET INPUT MODULE
A sheet input module includes: a tray; a support plate pivotally disposed on the tray to form a first included angle with the tray, wherein the support plate supports multiple sheets; and a sheet-stopper structure being pivotally disposed on the tray and providing a stopping function for the sheets. In an interlocking mode, the sheet-stopper structure is driven by the support plate according to a change of the first included angle and rotated relatively to the tray to adjust a second included angle between a stopping surface of the sheet-stopper structure and the sheets. A printing device using the sheet input module is also provided.

A sheet input module includes: a tray; a support plate pivotally disposed on the tray to form a first included angle with the tray, wherein the support plate supports multiple sheets; and a sheet-stopper structure being pivotally disposed on the tray and providing a stopping function for the sheets. In an interlocking mode, the sheet-stopper structure is driven by the support plate according to a change of the first included angle and rotated relatively to the tray to adjust a second included angle between a stopping surface of the sheet-stopper structure and the sheets. A printing device using the sheet input module is also provided.
Image reading apparatus and image forming apparatus
An image reading apparatus includes a stacking unit having an abutment portion, a feeding unit, a conveyance unit, a reading unit, a rotating shaft, and a drive unit. The abutment portion abuts a document end in a widthwise direction of a document stacked on the stacking unit. The conveyance unit conveys the stacked document fed by the feeding unit in a feeding direction perpendicularly intersecting the document widthwise direction. The reading unit reads an image of the document. The drive unit rotates the stacking unit, rotatably supported by the rotating shaft, around the rotating shaft. The rotating shaft is disposed at a position where at least a part of the rotating shaft exists between one end and other end in the document widthwise direction of a document having a maximum width conveyable by the conveyance unit in a state where the maximum width document abuts on the abutment portion.
PAPER FEEDING DEVICE
A paper feeding device includes a pickup roller mechanism disposed at an entrance of a paper feeding path, and a separation mechanism disposed to a rear end of the pickup roller mechanism. The pickup roller mechanism includes a first pickup unit positioned at the entrance of the paper feeding path, a second pickup unit mounted to a rear end of the first pickup unit, and a third pickup unit disposed to a rear end of the second pickup unit. The second pickup unit includes a first driving gear. The third pickup unit includes a second driving gear, and a transmission belt looped around an outer periphery of the first driving gear and an outer periphery of the second driving gear.

A sheet conveyance device includes a first conveyance member, and a drive transmission mechanism. The first conveyance member is configured to convey a sheet toward a second conveyance member. The drive transmission mechanism is configured to transmit a driving force of a driving source to the first conveyance member. The drive transmission mechanism includes a first drive transmitter and a second drive transmitter disposed coaxially with the first drive transmitter. The driving force is transmitted from the first drive transmitter to the second drive transmitter. The second drive transmitter is rotatable relative to the first drive transmitter within at least a predetermined angular range.

A sheet feeding device includes a sheet loading portion which is capable of elevating operation and on which a sheet is loaded, a feeding member for feeding the sheet loaded on the sheet loading portion, the feeding member being capable of elevating movement between a contacting position in contact with the sheet and a distanced position distanced upward from the sheet, and a control portion that controls the elevating operation of the sheet loading portion and the elevating movement of the feeding member. When the feeding member at the contacting position moves to the distanced position, the feeding member is distanced upward from the sheet loaded on the sheet loading portion after the sheet loading portion starts a descending operation.

A sheet feeding device includes a sheet loading portion which is capable of elevating operation and on which a sheet is loaded, a feeding member for feeding the sheet loaded on the sheet loading portion, the feeding member being capable of elevating movement between a contacting position in contact with the sheet and a distanced position distanced upward from the sheet, and a control portion that controls the elevating operation of the sheet loading portion and the elevating movement of the feeding member. When the feeding member at the contacting position moves to the distanced position, the feeding member is distanced upward from the sheet loaded on the sheet loading portion after the sheet loading portion starts a descending operation.
