PICK ROLLER SPEEDS
In some examples, the disclosure describes a printing device that includes a processor resource, and a non-transitory memory resource storing machine-readable instructions stored thereon that, when executed, cause the processor resource to: detect a slippage probability for a pick roller of a print medium to be utilized for a print job of the printing device, determine a speed of the pick roller based on the slippage probability, and instruct the pick roller to be activated at the speed to pick the print medium and move the print medium to a turn roller.

LOADING NEXT MEDIA SHEET WHILE CURRENT MEDIA SHEET IS BEING EJECTED
Subsequent to completion of printing on a current media sheet, a pick transmission of the printing device linking a motor of the printing device to a pick roller of the printing device is engaged to load a next media sheet via the motor driving the pick roller. While the next media sheet is being loaded due to the motor driving the pick roller, the current media sheet is ejected via the motor driving an eject roller of the printing device.

The present invention discloses a card-feeding device and a badge and card printer. The card-feeding device comprises: a base on which cards are stacked, a card outlet being provided at one end of the base; a rotary card-feeding mechanism which is located below the bottommost card and provided with a rotary swing arm and a push rod provided on the rotary swing arm, the push rod pushing the bottommost card towards the card outlet as the swing arm rotates; and a roller card-feeding mechanism which is installed between the rotary card-feeding mechanism and the card outlet and provided with a roller with an outer edge protruding from the top surface of the base, the bottommost card being transported to the card outlet when the roller rotates.

In a sheet conveyance apparatus a control unit controls lifting and lowering of a sheet supporting portion by a lifting unit and executes a mixed feeding in one of a plurality of modes including a first mode and a second mode. The mixed feeding is an operation in which a plurality of sheets having different lengths in a width direction orthogonal to a feed direction of a sheet feeding unit are fed by the feeding unit, wherein in the first mode, the control unit causes the lifting unit to move the supporting portion from the second position to the first position based on an instruction to start sheet feeding, and in the second mode, the control unit causes the lifting unit to move the supporting portion from the second position to the first position based on a detection of a sheet by the detection unit.

In a sheet conveyance apparatus a control unit controls lifting and lowering of a sheet supporting portion by a lifting unit and executes a mixed feeding in one of a plurality of modes including a first mode and a second mode. A sheet feeder apparatus includes a width detector for a sheet placed on a sheet placement portion, a conveyor for conveying sheets while separating the sheets one by one, a first detector for detecting a sheet having a first width at a plurality of first positions, a second detector for detecting a sheet having a second width that is not detected by the first sheet detector at a plurality of second positions, and a controller for determining skewing of a sheet based on a result of the detection of the sheet performed by the first detector if the width of the sheet is the first width, and determining skewing of a sheet based on a result of the detection performed by the second detector if the width of the sheet is the second width.
Sheet feeding apparatus and image forming apparatus
A sheet feeding apparatus includes a sheet feeding roller including a core portion to rotatably support the feeding roller on a feeding roller shaft and a roller portion provided on an outer periphery of the core portion, with the core portion including an engaging mechanism to engage with the feeding roller shaft to restrict movement of the feeding roller in an axial direction of the feeding roller shaft. The core portion also includes a protrusion extending in the axial direction and located on an opposite side of the feeding roller shaft from the engaging mechanism. An end portion of the protrusion is positioned at downstream side of a tip portion of the feeding roller shaft in a removing direction of the feeding roller from the feeding roller shaft.

An example method for picking a media sheet from a media tray, the method comprising: controlling a media picker to perform a pick procedure to pick the media sheet from the media tray; upon detecting an error condition in the pick procedure, translating the media sheet in a direction within a plane of the media sheet; and controlling the media picker to retry the pick procedure to pick the media sheet from the media tray.
