Sheet feeding apparatus, printing apparatus, and sheet feeding method
In order to downsize an overall apparatus without setting the swing angle of a swing member to be unnecessarily large, a pickup roller, which is for feeding a document disposed on a feeding tray, is supported by a pickup arm that is swingable about a rotation shaft. Depending on the rotational direction of the rotation axis, the pickup arm swings between a first position, in which the pickup roller is in contact with the document on the feeding tray, and a second position, in which the pickup roller is above and not in contact with the feeding tray. An arm member is rotated by rotation of the rotation axis after the pickup arm swings to the second position.
Image recording device
An image recording device having a recording unit to record an image on a sheet is provided. The image recording unit includes a feed guide defining a first conveying path; an arm disposed between the recording unit and the tray, the arm having a feed roller rotatably disposed at a free end and configured to feed the sheet in the tray to the first conveying path. The arm pivots between a first arm position, and a second arm position. The return guide pivots between a first return guide position, and a second return guide position. A space occupied by the return guide in the first return guide position overlaps a space occupied by the arm in the second arm position. The return guide is in the second return guide position when the arm is in the second arm position which is retracted from an insertion space occupied by the tray.
Sheet conveyer and image recording apparatus
A sheet conveyer, including a body with a conveyer path, a first roller, a second roller, a roller holder supporting the second roller rotatably, an urging member urging the roller holder, and a guide member, is provided. The guide member is supported rotatably by the body at a position on a side opposite to the first roller across the second roller is pivotable between a closed position and an open position. The roller holder is movable between a first position, where the second roller contacts the first roller, and a second position, where the second roller is separated from the first roller and in which the roller holder contacts the guide member located at the open position. The roller holder located at the second position is restricted by the guide member from moving farther from the first position. The urging member urges the roller holder toward the first position.
SHEET CONVEYING APPARATUS
The present invention is to provide a configuration capable of stably conveying a sheet irrespective of the basis weight of the sheet. A pair of regulating guides is disposed on both sides of a conveying belt in a sheet width direction Y, each having a support surface that supports an end edge in the width direction of the sheet conveyed while being nipped by the conveying belt and balls and a guide surface that faces the end edge of the sheet in the width direction. Each of the pair of regulating guides is movable to a first guide position at which the end edge of the sheet in the width direction is supported by the support surface and guided by the guide surface and to a second guide position at which the end edge of the sheet in the width direction is supported by the support surface.
SHEET CONVEYING APPARATUS
The apparatus is capable of handling sheets of various lengths while suppressing an increase in apparatus size, wherein each of a pair of regulating guides is movable to a guide position at which an end edge of a sheet in a sheet width direction can be guided by a guide surface and to a retracting position retracting further away from the sheet width direction end edge than the guide position. For sheets S1 and S2 each having a first sheet length, the pair of regulating guides is made to reach the guide position from the retracting position in a state where the front end of the sheet is located between upstream and downstream ends of the guide surface. For a sheet S3 having a second sheet length that is longer than the first length, the pair of regulating guides is made to reach the guide position from the retracting position.
SHEET FEEDING APPARATUS, IMAGE READING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet feeding apparatus includes: a conveying roller; a separating roller which forms a nip portion by pressing the conveying roller and separates a sheet conveyed by the conveying roller one by one in the nip portion; a moving portion configured to move a stacking portion from a first position at which a sheet stacked in the stacking portion and a feeding roller are separated from each other to a second position at which the sheet stacked in the stacking portion abuts on the feeding roller; and a cover member which is movable between a third position to cover a rotation shaft of the separating roller and a fourth position to expose the rotation shaft of the separating roller, in which the cover member placed in the fourth position moves to the third position along with movement of the stacking portion from the first position to the second position.

A paper sheet handling apparatus includes a transportation member that transports a paper sheet and a rotation shaft member that serves as a center of rotation of the transportation member, wherein the transportation member includes a plurality of elastic loop sections having central axes parallel to the rotation shaft member, and the plurality of loop sections are arranged in a rotation direction of the transportation member such that the plurality of loop sections are each supported by an adjacent loop section when being elastically deformed while contacting the paper sheet.
Medium conveying apparatus including joint for connecting a roller and a drive shaft
A medium conveying apparatus includes a first roller, a second roller located to face the first roller, to hold and convey a medium with the first roller, a drive shaft to rotate the second roller, a motor to rotate the drive shaft, and a joint to connect the second roller and the drive shaft. The joint is configured to keep connecting the second roller and the drive shaft when the second roller moves in a vertical direction. The drive shaft is located at an intermediate position between a first position where the second roller is in contact with the first roller and a second position where the second roller separates most from the first roller in the vertical direction. A distance between the second position and the intermediate position is greater than a radius on cross section of the second roller in the vertical direction.
Sheet discharging apparatus, sheet feeding apparatus and image forming apparatus
A sheet discharging apparatus includes a first detecting portion provided in an apparatus body and configured to detect a move of a movable member in a state where a movable tray is at an upper limit position in a moving direction of the movable tray, wherein a detection result of the first detecting portion changes depending on a position of the movable tray in the moving direction. In addition, a second detecting portion detects the position of the movable tray in the moving direction, and a control portion, in a case where the second detecting portion detects that the movable tray is at the upper limit position, determines whether a sheet is present on the movable tray based on the detection result of the first detecting portion. When the second detecting portion does not detect that the movable tray is at the upper limit position, the control portion determines that a sheet is present on the movable tray regardless of the detection result of the first detecting portion.

A banknote recycler (100) including an externally accessible banknote transport path comprises a spine module (112) operable to support and couple with one or more other modules, an accepting module (106) operable to couple to the spine module (112) and to receive and transport banknotes through a portion of the banknote recycler (100), a sensing module (104) operable to recognize banknotes received in the banknote recycler (100), a recycling module (108) operable to receive banknotes from, and dispense banknotes to, one or more other modules in the banknote recycler (100), and a cashbox module (110) operable to store banknotes received from one or more other modules in the banknote recycler (100), wherein one or more of the accepting module (106), the sensing module (104), the recycling module (108), and the cashbox module (110) include at least one openable panel (410) providing access to a banknote transport path.
