An apparatus for gliding over snow is disclosed. The apparatus comprises at least two decks coupled via a swivel arm. Each deck comprises a strap to receive a foot of a user, and a board coupled to the deck via a connector. The user stands on the decks to create swivel-motion with the help of the swivel arm. The swivel-motion created at the deck is transferred to the connector and to the board to create forward momentum and glide the board over the snow.

In described embodiments, a snowboard conversion kit includes a first strap assembly having a first hollow strap sleeve having a first end, a second end, distal from the first end, and a cutout between the first end and the second end. A first strap has a first strap end that extends into the first hollow strap sleeve from the first end and a second strap end that extends into the first hollow strap sleeve from the second end. The first strap and the first strap sleeve form a loop. A first strap securing assembly is adapted to extend through the first hollow strap sleeve and secure the first hollow strap sleeve to a snowboard. A second strap assembly, similar to the first strap assembly is also provided.

Described herein include various embodiments of a binding assembly that assist with coupling a user's foot to a sport board. A foothold or binding upper that captures a user's foot can be coupled to a part of the binding assembly thereby enabling the binding assembly to secure the user's foot to the sport board. The binding assembly can include a chassis that has at least two connector receptacle that each allow an attachment feature (e.g., mounting screw) to extend therethrough and secure the binding assembly to the sport board. Each of the connector receptacles can be angled such that a longitudinal of the connector receptacle is positioned at an angle relative to a top surface of the sport board.

The binding system comprises: a pair of rails locatable on opposing sides of a generally flattened foot-receiving surface for the rider's foot, each rail comprising a central portion mountable to the recreational board, a toe-side leg which extends from the central portion toward a toe-side of the recreational board and a heel-side leg which extends from the central portion toward a heel-side of the recreational board. Each rail is moveably coupled to a corresponding stand-off flange of a base.
