Digital Printing System
A system (10) includes an intermediate transfer member (ITM) (44) and a substrate conveyor (80). The ITM (44) is configured to receive droplets of one or more printing fluids so as to form an image thereon, and to transfer the image to a target substrate (50). The substrate conveyor (80) is configured to grip and move the target substrate (50) to and from the ITM (44) for transferal of the image, the substrate conveyor (80) includes one or more rotatable elements (110, 200), which are configured to provide mechanical support to the target substrate (50), such that, when the target substrate (50) moves over the one or more rotatable elements (110, 200), at least one of the rotatable elements (110, 200) is configured to rotate in response to a physical contact with the target substrate (50).
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus, having a housing including a first side wall and a second side wall, a sheet tray movable in a first direction, an image forming device to form an image on a sheet, and a chute movable in a second direction, is provided. The sheet tray has a first outer frame, having a first dent denting downward. The chute has a second outer frame. The second outer frame has a second dent denting upward and forming an opening together with the first dent and a handle extending downward from the second dent. At least one of the first outer frame and the second outer frame has a wall shielding a part of the opening at a position upstream from the handle in the second direction.

A sheet conveyance apparatus includes a conveyance roller, an abutment member including an abutment surface against which a side edge, in a width direction, of the sheet abuts, and configured to correct a skew of the sheet, an obliquely conveying roller configured to convey the sheet such as the side edge of the sheet is conveyed toward the abutment surface, a sheet side edge detection portion configured to detect a position of the side edge of the sheet, and a control unit configured to control that a conveyance force, in the width direction, by the obliquely conveying roller in response to a detection result of the sheet side edge detection portion becomes smaller than that in an abutment movement.
Transportation apparatus and printing apparatus
A transportation portion includes an apparatus body, a cover, first and second path formation portions, and a movement portion. The apparatus body has a transportation path including a downward path and an upward path having portions located at the same level in the Z direction. The cover covers and uncovers the transportation path. The first path formation portion is movable to a first position and to a second position. The second path formation portion defines the upward path and defines the downward path with the first path formation portion. The movement portion moves the first path formation portion in response to opening or closing of the cover. The first path formation portion is positioned in a movement area during a closed state. The movement portion moves the first path formation portion to the second position when the cover is opened and to the first position when the cover is closed.

A conveyance apparatus for conveying a sheet includes (i) a first conveyance roller pair, (ii) a second conveyance roller pair configured to convey the sheet to reach a position where the sheet contacts the first conveyance roller pair, (iii) a moving member movable between a restricting position where the sheet is regulated not to reach the first conveyance roller pair and a retracting position, to be moved to the retracting position from the restricting position by being pushed by the sheet, (iv) a first guide disposed between the moving member and the second conveyance roller pair, and (v) a first opposing guide opposing the first guide. One of the first guide and the first opposing guide includes a first curved portion which the sheet contacts, and the other one thereof includes a second curved portion which the sheet contacts.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image formation engine configured to form an image on a sheet, and a re-conveyer configured to convey the sheet having an image formed on one surface thereof by the image formation engine to the image formation engine again along a re-conveying path. The re-conveyer includes a conveying roller configured to convey the sheet in a re-conveying direction toward the image formation engine, a first guide member configured to be swingable between a first position at which the first guide member defines a portion of the re-conveying path upstream of the conveying roller in the re-conveying direction and guides the sheet to the conveying roller and a second position for exposing the potion of the re-conveying path, and a support member configured to swingably support the first guide member and rotatably support the conveying roller.
