Sheet conveying device, image processing apparatus, image forming apparatus, and sheet conveying method
According to one embodiment, a sheet conveying device includes a conveying roller, a motor, a resist roller, a sensor, and a motor control unit. The conveying roller conveys a sheet. The motor rotates the conveying roller. The resist roller corrects an inclination of the sheet conveyed by the conveying roller. The sensor is positioned upstream of the resist roller and detects the sheet. The motor control unit determines that the sheet abuts on the resist roller after the sheet is detected by the sensor and rotates the motor by a predetermined number of rotations after it is determined that the sheet abuts on the resist roller.
SHEET ALIGNMENT IN SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE
A sheet conveying device includes an aligning roller and a sheet guide. The aligning roller is configured to rotate in a forward direction along a sheet conveying direction, and stop rotation or rotate in a reverse direction to align a sheet conveyed thereto with a nip formed with the aligning roller. The sheet guide is disposed along a sheet conveyance path extending to the nip in the sheet conveying direction, and movable between a first position at which the sheet conveyance path has a first width in a thickness direction of the sheet and a second position at which the sheet conveyance path has a second width in the thickness direction less than the first width. The sheet guide is at the first position when the aligning roller stops rotation or rotates in the reverse direction and at the second position when the aligning roller rotates in the forward direction.
SHEET ALIGNING MECHANISM
A sheet aligning mechanism includes first and second conveyance mechanisms disposed on first and second sides of a sheet conveyance path, respectively. A nip is formed between the first and second conveyance mechanisms. The first conveyance mechanism includes a first roller, a second roller, and a first conveyance belt wound around the first and second rollers. The first and second rollers are configured to rotate in a first direction along a sheet conveying direction for sheet conveyance, and stop rotation or rotate in a second direction opposite to the first direction for sheet alignment. The first conveyance belt includes an extended region between the first and second rollers in an extending direction inclined with respect to the sheet conveying direction, such that a width of the sheet conveyance path becomes narrower towards the nip in the sheet conveying direction.
Image forming apparatus with movable support member
An image forming apparatus employing an electrophotographic image forming method includes a casing having a front wall to which an opening is formed and a rear wall facing the front wall, a photosensitive drum located close to the front wall, a support member configured to support the photosensitive drum. The support member is slidably movable between an accommodated position a drawn position at which the photosensitive drum is drawn out of the casing through the opening. The image forming apparatus further includes a sheet tray, a feeding roller configured to feed the plurality of sheets supported by the sheet tray, a first conveying guide arranged between the support member and the sheet tray to face the support member, and a second conveying guide formed to the support member at a position facing the first conveying guide to guide the sheet inserted through the opening.
Sheet conveying device and image forming apparatus incorporating the sheet conveying device
A sheet conveying device, which is included in an image forming apparatus, includes a drive device, a pair of sheet holding rollers to convey a sheet in a sheet conveying direction, a gate to which a leading end of the sheet contacts, a first detector disposed upstream from the pair of sheet holding rollers to detect a position of the sheet and a second detector disposed downstream from the pair of sheet holding rollers to detect a position of the sheet. The pair of sheet holding rollers performs a primary correction to detect and correct a lateral displacement amount of the sheet by moving the pair of sheet holding rollers while holding the sheet, and then performs a secondary correction to detect and correct at least one of a subsequent lateral displacement of the sheet and an angular displacement of the sheet.
Sheet processing apparatus and image forming system incorporating the same
A sheet processing apparatus includes conveyers to convey a sheet. The conveyers include a registration conveyer which a plurality of sheets is to sequentially contact and is configured to bend a preceding sheet contacting the registration conveyer toward a direction in which the preceding sheet does not obstruct an entry of a following sheet to the registration conveyer when the conveyers overlay and convey the plurality of sheets after the plurality of sheets sequentially contacts the registration conveyer.
SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE, IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND SHEET CONVEYING METHOD
According to one embodiment, a sheet conveying device includes a conveying roller, a motor, a resist roller, a sensor, and a motor control unit. The conveying roller conveys a sheet. The motor rotates the conveying roller. The resist roller corrects an inclination of the sheet conveyed by the conveying roller. The sensor is positioned upstream of the resist roller and detects the sheet. The motor control unit determines that the sheet abuts on the resist roller after the sheet is detected by the sensor and rotates the motor by a predetermined number of rotations after it is determined that the sheet abuts on the resist roller.

An image forming apparatus is provided. The image forming apparatus includes a paper-feed unit, a developing unit to form an image in a printing medium, an insertion unit including first and second rollers configured to insert the printing medium conveyed from the paper-feed unit into the developing unit, and a guide unit rotatably disposed about a rotation shaft of the first roller and configured to guide the printing medium moving from the paper-feed unit to the insertion unit and selectively press the first roller to the second roller.

A sheet conveying device includes a support configured to move between a storage position and a full open position and including a pair of rollers, a plurality of contact bodies, and a switching unit. The switching unit switches the pair of rollers in response to contact of the plurality of contact target bodies included in the switching unit, with the plurality of contact bodies. The plurality of contact bodies includes a first contact body closer to the storage position than the plurality of contact target bodies with the support at the full open position and closer to the full open position with the support at the storage position, and a second contact body closer to the storage position than a part of the plurality of contact target bodies with the support at a halfway position and closer to the full open position with the support at the storage position.
