A mount for a snowboard binding including a base plate mounted to the snowboard defining a first locking position for scooting the snowboard and engaging with a rotatably settable disc defining a second locking position for riding the snow board. An attachment to the binding rotates on the settable disc and includes a radially actuating lock for selectably engaging with the first or second locking positions.

A snow ski assembly is provided for use by an individual to slide across a snow covered surface, for example, under the force of gravity. The assembly includes a ski having a bottom wall for engaging a snow covered surface and an upturned peripheral region extending around a perimeter of the bottom wall to help facilitate sliding movement of the ski across a snow covered surface in any direction, without preference to a particular direction, and to help inhibit the ski from digging into the snow covered surface when sliding across the snow covered surface. The assembly also includes a mounting feature for coupling a binding to the bottom wall of the ski, such that an individual can position a foot in the binding and use the ski to slide across the snow covered surface.

A rotatable binding interface for a snowboard for facilitating usage of the snowboard in at least two different orientations is disclosed herein. The rotatable binding interface includes a fixed assembly that is coupled to a snowboard body. A rotatable assembly is coupled to the fixed assembly, wherein the rotatable assembly is configured to allow fitment of a binding thereon, wherein a user may rotate the rotatable assembly using a foot placed in the binding by applying a twisting motion drive to the rotatable assembly. The rotatable assembly is configured to be locked in at least two different orientations for the user. The rotatable binding interface further includes a locking assembly configured to lock the rotatable assembly in at least two different orientations. There is a hinged binding interface that can tilt up when the rotatable assembly is rotated to an orientation where the user's boot is parallel to the length of the snowboard.

A rotating binding for a snowboard or other recreational equipment to which a user's foot is attached includes a lever having teeth at one end for engaging corresponding teeth in a disk attached to the snowboard or other equipment. Movement of the lever is resisted until an additional movement of the lever is performed in order to unsecure the lever from a secured position in which it engages the teeth within the disk. Some examples of the snowboard or other recreational equipment may include retractable fins that may be extended downward from the snowboard, or secured in a retracted position.

Each rails may have a circular hook at a forward end for attachment to a toe bracket in a ski mode. The rails and base plate define channels for slidable attachment to pucks disposed on the gliding board in snowboard mode. A securing lever disposed near the rear end of the binding with a securing member disposed on the lower surface thereof may be rotated into a downwards position so the securing member resides below the base plate to secure the binding in position when installed on pucks in a snowboard mode.
