COIL REPLACING DEVICE
A coil replacing device. Material tapes output by a first unreeling assembly and a second unreeling assembly can be alternately used as a working materials tape and a spare materials tape. When the unreeling of the working material tape by the first unreeling assembly is about to be finished, a first cutting assembly cuts off the working material tape fixed by a fixing mechanism and a first positioning assembly, and the spare material tape unreeled by the second unreeling assembly can be aligned with the working material tape fixed by the first positioning assembly. Then, a swing assembly drives an adhesive attaching driver to swing from an adhesive preparation position to an adhesive attaching position, and an adhesive attaching mechanism drives two suction plates to be folded, connecting the spare material tape with the working material tape to form a new working material tape.

COIL REPLACING DEVICE
A coil replacing device. When a first unreeling assembly at an unreeling station finishes unreeling, a fixing suction member can be driven by a first driver abutting against a first suction member clamping a working material tape, a first cutting assembly cuts off the working material tape, and the cut working material tape is sucked by the fixing suction member. Then, a vertical plate slides to make a second unreeling assembly enter the unreeling station, a material tape sucked by a second suction member will also enter the unreeling station as a spare material tape, and the first unreeling assembly will be removed from the unreeling station. The fixing suction member is driven by the first driver to abut against the second suction member, so as to realize coil replacing, and the first unreeling assembly can be loaded with a new material tape to serve as a spare material tape.

Method for cutting and connecting two bands end to end, an unrolling machine and a cutting and connecting device
A method for cutting and connecting two bands end to end and which are at a stop, namely a first band ensuring the feed, and a second replacement band, in an unrolling machine including a cutting and connecting device including two connection assemblies arranged symmetrically with respect to a cutting and connection plane is provided. Utilizing the unrolling machine the method includes preparation of the second band, then immobilization of the bands in the plane, of simultaneous and transverse cutting of the latter, of disengagement of the cut portions not to be connected, and of end-to-end connecting of the cut portions thereof to be connected. A cutting and connecting device and a machine enabling the implementation of the method is also provided.

PREVENTING THE FLUTTERING OF THE TAIL IN FILM PRINTING
A method and device for carrying out a reel splice to avoid the fluttering of tails makes it possible to allow the tail to also adhere across its entire length, in particular on a web with high mechanical strength. When using a fluid-repelling substrate, an adhesive-free liquid is applied to a new roll and/or to at least a portion of the side of the tail facing the web. The method and device can be used in reel splicers which process fluid-repellent substrates, such as for example plastic films, metal films or laminated laminates, so that a sticking out or fluttering of the tail is avoided.

WEB SPLICER
An apparatus (100) for splicing a patterned web (108) is provided. The apparatus includes first and second unwind spindles (110, 114) engaging a new roll (112) of patterned web (108) and expiring roll (116) of patterned web, respectively, a first web indexing mechanism (104) capable of linearly translating the patterned web from the new roll (112) along its travel direction; a first clamp surface (129) that extends across the patterned web from the new roll; a second clamp surface (131) that extends across the patterned web from the expiring roll (116); and a cutting mechanism (132, 132) for severing the patterned web from the expiring roll (116). The apparatus further includes a second web indexing mechanism capable of linearly translating the patterned web from the expiring roll along its travel direction, wherein the first and second web indexing mechanisms are independently operable to align registration features of the patterned web on the new roll and expiring roll with each other. The first and second clamp surfaces can be brought together to create a registered splice of the patterned web between the new and expiring rolls.
