EQUIPMENT FOR REMOVING PAPER FROM PARENT REELS USED FOR THE PRODUCTION OF LOGS OF PAPER MATERIAL
Equipment for removing paper from parent reels used for the production of paper logs of paper material, including a support system adapted to support an exhausted parent reel, where the exhausted parent reel includes a tubular core on which residual paper to be removed is wound, and including removal capabilities for removing the residual paper from the core when the exhausted parent reel is placed on the support system. The removal capabilities include a suction cylinder having a horizontal axis onto which the paper is transferred by effect of the contact between the suction cylinder and the exhausted parent reel and by effect of the rotation of the suction cylinder around the horizontal axis.

MACHINE AND METHOD FOR WINDING STRIPS OF WEB MATERIAL WITH MEANS FOR THE TRANSVERSE CUTTING OF THE STRIPS AT THE END OF WINDING
The machine (1) comprises: an unwinding section (3) for unwinding parent reels (Ba, Bb) of web material (N; S); at least one winding station (15) comprising a winding device (25) and further comprising: guide members for guiding the strip (S) of web material, configured to form at least a loop of web material between a guide roller (43) and a log (B); and a cutting device (61) for transversally cutting the strip (S) of web material in an intermediate position between the log (B) and the guide roller (43), thus generating a tail edge, remaining on the log (B) being formed, and a leading edge, remaining fastened to the guide roller (43).

PROCESS FOR TURNING UP IN A PAPER MACHINE AND PAPER MANUFACTURE
A paper-making machine and process, in which a paper web passes over a pope roller to a main roll and a new roll can be brought into contact with the pope roller when the main roll becomes a full roll, is improved by arranging at least two paper cutting tools to cut a paper web from each of two outer lateral edges to form two or more leader portions. A tail of the paper web formed on the full roll is symmetric and the leader portions on the new roll are also symmetric. Adhesive spray or tape can be applied to the paper web in the area of the leader portions. Air jets can also be used to bias the leader portions towards a surface of the new roll.
Core with Cushion Strip
A core for winding sheet material is proved. The core comprises a cylindrical tube having a longitudinally oriented slot formed therein, and a strip of soft material located in the slot. Because of the geometry of the slot and the strip, the strip may be softer in the central region but firmer where the core transitions from the relatively soft strip to the relatively hard tube. The leading edge of the sheet material imbeds itself into the soft central region of the strip as additional layers are wound around the core.

Winding machine for winding strips of material
A winding station and a method for winding material webs, in particular foils or films, wherein during a continuous movement of the material web, a removal fork pivots the nearly full winding sleeve from a front position to a rear removal position while a new winding sleeve is moved to the winding position. The winding station is provided with a device to wind the material web automatically onto a new winding sleeve following the separation of the completed winding.
Winding device for web-shaped material and method for drawing at least one material web into at least one winding device
A winding device for a web-shaped material has at least one first frame and at least one first roller holding device, with at least one roller holding assembly which can rotate about a first rotational axis. The winding has device at least one pressing element, and the at least one pressing element is arranged to be movable relative to the first frame in at least one adjustment direction and opposite that at least one adjustment direction. The at least one adjustment direction has at least one component which points towards the first rotational axis. A guide system for at least one drawing device, for drawing at least one material web, is arranged such that a first guide section of the guide system is arranged in a stationary manner relative to the at least one first frame. At least one linear connection between the at least one pressing element and the first rotational axis always intersects a second guide section of the guide system, regardless of the position of the at least one pressing element. A method for drawing a material web into a winding device is also provided.
