Tape Attachment Apparatus
A tape attachment apparatus includes a tape supply unit configured to provide a tape to be attached to a tip of an electrode roll, a tape attachment unit configured to attach the tape provided by the tape supply unit to the electrode roll, and a frame configured to allow the tape attachment unit to be mounted to the frame. A tape attachment process to prevent unwinding of the electrode roll is automatically performed.
Method For Producing A Roll Of Label Web
A roll of label web and method utilize a length of first label web having a plurality of longitudinally spaced adhesive-backed labels removably attached to a substrate wound around a tubular core in such a manner that a first and last label of the first label web are fully intact and usable. The leading and trailing ends of the first label web are cut between labels. The trailing end of the first label web is releasably attached to the core by double-sided releasable adhesive tabs that allow the trailing end of the first label web to pull free from the core for printing the last label. The leading end of the first label web is temporarily secured to the roll by adhesive tabs that are removable without damaging the first label of the first label web.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING A STRAND OF CUSHIONING MATERIAL, AND CUSHIONING MATERIAL COIL
An apparatus for processing a strand of dunnage material, such as a coil of dunnage material, may include a winding device configured to wind the strand of dunnage material around a winding center, and an adhesive tape dispenser aligned with the winding device. The adhesive tape dispenser may be configured such that the adhesive tape dispensed by the dispenser is applied to an outer end layer of the strand of dunnage material when the outer end layer is wound around the winding center. The dunnage material may be produced by a dunnage forming machine from a web-shaped starting material, such as a roll or a leporello stack, for example of paper.

Systems for processing material, taping stations to apply tape to one or more rolls of material, and methods of processing material
Systems for processing material, taping stations to apply tape to one or more rolls of material, and methods of processing material are disclosed herein. A system for processing material includes a winding station and a taping station. The winding station includes a winder to wrap material around a mandrel to produce one or more rolls of material. The taping station is arranged downstream of the winding station to receive the one or more rolls of material therefrom and apply tape to the one or more rolls of material.

LOG EJECTION GROUP AND RELATIVE EJECTION METHOD
Described is a log ejection group in a rewinding machine that includes an unloading plane of wound logs and a means for slowing down the logs associated with the unloading plane. The slowing down means includes a motorized upper inlet roller to intercept the logs arriving on the unloading plane and a pair of motorized handling rollers located downstream of the upper inlet roller. The pair includes an upper handling roller and a lower handling roller. The lower handling roller is integrated into the unloading plane. The upper inlet roller and the upper handling roller are arranged on an upper structure, which is adjustable in height. The angular speed of the upper inlet roller is greater than the angular speed of the upper handling roller. A method for ejecting a log using the log ejection group is also described.
Rewinder winding methods and apparatus
A converting line includes a rewinding machine for winding web material into a log. For time points during a time period of the log wind cycle, predictive information representative of a log to be wound is generated and stored in a memory of a control of the rewinding machine. An image capture device is enabled to capture a plurality of images of the log being wound in the winding nest at the plurality of corresponding time points during the time period. Log image capture information is generated based upon the plurality of captured images and corresponding time points during the time period. The log image capture information is compared with the generated predictive log image information to determine a difference in log image. Revised predictive log image information is generated based at least in part upon a difference in the log image capture information relative to predictive log image information.
