Article Selection and Placement Assembly and Method
An apparatus is disclosed for applying tags with attached elastic anchor bands onto the tops of objects such as bottles in a high speed packaging application. The apparatus includes an infeed assembly for feeding a web, a conveyor assembly that receives a web and conveys it along a path in an upstream direction, a rotating selector wheel, a placement assembly, a pair of rotating jaw assembles, a vacuum cup of the selector wheel, and stretched elastic bands over the tops of respective bottles being conveyed along a path below the placing assembly. The elastic bands then snap onto the tops of their respective bottles to secure the tags to the bottles.

Tape feeder
A motor related to a reel cassette among a plurality of the reel cassettes, in the condition where there is a shortage of a component in a component supply tape and an error has occurred (for example, a component adsorption error, or an image processing error) attributable to the supplied component, is operated so that a sprocket driving mechanism portion is lowered against a spring, a sprocket is lowered to a retract position, engagement of the sprocket with a sprocket hole of the component supply tape is released, and a clamp state of the reel cassette is released with a clamp member retracted downward from the reel cassette. Moreover, a display unit of an operation panel displays that only the reel cassette subjected to automatic clamp release is in a clamp release state.
APPARATUS FOR CONVEYING MOLDED BODY FOR HEAT EXCHANGER FINS
The problem of providing an apparatus for conveying a molded body for heat exchanger fins that is capable of realizing high speed conveying of the molded body for heat exchanger fins, preventing the generation of noise during conveying, and miniaturization is provided. An apparatus conveys a metal strip in a predetermined direction after tube insertion portions are formed in a thin metal plate, and has a plurality of conveying units disposed along a conveying direction of the molded body for heat exchanger fins, each conveying unit including: a rotating conveyor that has a plurality of tapered protrusions that are capable of advancing into the tube insertion portions and a rotating shaft in a direction that is perpendicular to a conveying direction of the metal strip on a horizontal plane; and a rotating conveyor driving unit that rotationally drives the rotating conveyor. An operation control unit that controls the plurality of rotating conveyor driving units so as to synchronize respective rotational speeds of the plurality of conveying units is also provided.

COMPONENT SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND COMPONENT SUPPLY MANAGEMENT METHOD
A component supply management system includes a threshold setting portion, a remaining-amount detection portion, a determination portion, and a notification portion. The threshold setting portion sets a threshold with respect to a remaining amount capable of being supplied by the carrier tape, for each of the tape feeders, depending on types of the tape feeders. The remaining-amount detection portion detects a remaining amount of components capable of being supplied by the carrier tape, for each of the tape feeders. The determination portion determines whether the remaining amount detected by the remaining-amount detection portion is lower than the threshold set in the threshold setting portion, for each of the tape feeders. The notification portion issues a warning for recommending replenishment of a carrier tape for the tape feeder in which the determination portion determines that the remaining amount is lower than the threshold.

Pin Wheel and Terminal Material Strip Conveying Device
A pin wheel includes an outer wheel having an inner cavity extending through the outer wheel along an axial direction and a plurality of radial through-holes communicated with the inner cavity, an inner wheel assembled in the inner cavity to rotate together with the outer wheel, a plurality of pins respectively and movably installed in the radial through-holes, and a plurality of springs making the pins floatable in the radial through-holes. A first end of each of the pins extends out of one of the radial through-holes to engage with a positioning hole of a terminal material strip. A plurality of grooves are formed on an outer peripheral surface of the inner wheel. The grooves of the inner wheel respectively correspond to a second end of each of the pins to allow the second ends of the pins to each enter one of the grooves.
