WEB TENSION ADJUSTMENT DEVICE AND WEB WINDING DEVICE
A web tension adjustment device includes a pair of guide rollers and a dancer roller. The two guide rollers are spaced at least in a gravity direction and guide continuous paper in transfer. The dancer roller moves within a moving range along a guide shaft extending in a direction intersecting a rotation axis distance direction of the pair of guide rollers at an acute angle, rolls on the continuous paper transferred between the pair of guide rollers and gives tension to the continuous paper, the tension corresponding to an amount of moving from a position between the pair of guide rollers along the guide shaft.
Method and device for processing a cover of a package
The present invention relates to a method for processing a covering roll sheet (20) of a package, wherein the covering roll sheet (20) covers a package body (51) in the manner of a lid, comprising the steps of: drawing the covering roll sheet (20) off an endless roll (22), tensioning the covering roll sheet (20), determining an offset between a first marking on the covering roll sheet (20) and a second marking (34) on the package body (51), and stretching the covering roll sheet (20) in a manner dependent on the determined offset between the first marking (33) and the second marking (34).
Feeding apparatus, printing apparatus, and control method of feeding apparatus
A feeding apparatus includes a roll support unit configured to rotatably support a roll sheet which is a sheet wound into a roll form, a drive unit configured to rotate the roll sheet in a first rotation direction for feeding the sheet into a conveyance path and a second rotation direction, an abutment portion provided so as to be capable of abutting against an outer peripheral surface of the roll sheet at a first position, and a rotation member configured to abut against the outer peripheral surface at a second position. The rotation member at the second position does not rotate with the roll sheet when the roll sheet is rotated in the first rotation direction, and rotates with the roll sheet when the roll sheet is rotated in the second rotation direction.

Transport device, printing apparatus, and transport controlling method
Provided are: a holding unit configured to rotatably hold a roll body on which a medium is wound; a transport unit configured to transport the medium unwound from the roll body; a tension applying unit configured to press the medium between the holding unit and the transport unit to apply tension to the medium; a driving portion configured to provide driving force to the tension applying unit; a control unit configured to control the transport unit and the driving portion; and a detector configured to detect a load applied to the transport unit, and the control unit controls the driving force by the driving portion on the basis of the load detected by the detector to adjust the tension applied to the medium.

Web medium orientation detection
In a method for high speed printing of web-based media, a medium is pulled along a media transport path to a pulling transport mechanism. The orientation of the medium with respect to the media transport path is sensed and this orientation is compared to a reference orientation to detect an orientation error. If an orientation error is detected, one or more of the following steps is performed: adjusting a print job for an image to be printed on the web medium; adjusting the transport speed; emitting a communication signal; and stopping the pulling transport mechanism and the image forming unit. It is the insight of the inventor that productivity may be increased by allowing a tight winding printing system to start printing at relatively high speed and reduce this speed only when significantly large deviations in the orientation of the web are detected.

PRINTER
A printer according to one embodiment includes: a container configured to store a roll, the roll being a belt-like shaped print medium that is wound; a limiter in the container, the limiter having an abutting face to limit movement of the roll stored in the container and the belt-like shaped print medium extracted from the roll in width directions; and a damper disposed at a position opposed to a surface of the print medium extracted from the roll and the abutting face, the damper absorbing fluctuations in tension of the print medium.
