AUTOMATIC RETENTION APPARATUS
An apparatus for automatically adjusting tension on retention member to hold multiple objects together. Examples include using retention apparatus to obtain optimal fit and use of a human wearable item such as article of footwear. Sensors may be used to sense changes in movement of the article of footwear, of the person wearing it, or of a third object such as a vehicle carrying the person. A retention member may surround at least a portion of the objects, and an actuator may be included that automatically rotates a rotating member such as a gear or pulley that may be coupled to the retention member. The rotating member may be configured to automatically adjust tension on the retention member many times per second based on control signals from control logic responsive to the sensors.
Snowboard binding
A snowboard binding using for a snowboard is provided. The snowboard binding includes a baseplate, a boot supporter surrounding the baseplate, an interlocking assembly, and a stopper disposed on the interlocking assembly. The boot supporter includes a first side, a second side, and a rear side. The interlocking assembly is disposed at the first side of the boot supporter. A mutual positional relationship between the interlocking assembly and the snowboard presents an initial state. As snowboard boot touches the interlocking assembly to change the initial state while the snowboard boot is put in and fixed to the snowboard binding. Concurrently the interlocking assembly drives the stopper to rotate so that the stopper leaves or inserts into snowfield.

SNOWBOARD BINDING HIGHBACK HAVING AN UPPER PORTION OF UNIFORM MATERIAL
A highback for a snowboard binding, and method of creating same, includes a lower portion configured to couple the highback to a baseplate of the snowboard binding such that a proximal end of the first portion is proximate the baseplate. An upper portion having a first section and second section is formed from a uniform material. The first section is anchored within the lower portion and the second section extends from a distal end of the lower portion away from the proximal end.
SUPPORT AND SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY FOR A SNOW SPORTS BOARD
A support assembly for use with snow sports boards includes a base configured to be attached to the snow sports board. A frame has a first portion extending downward and a second portion extending rearward from the first portion. A seat is mounted on the second portion of the frame. A shock absorber extends between the base and the first portion of the frame. During use, the support assembly is configured to support a rider sitting on the seat in a face-forward position with the rider's knees vertically below and forward of the rider's hips.
SPLITBOARD BINDING SYSTEM WITH SIDE MOUNTING LOCKING TOURING BRACKET
Splitboard binding systems including a binding that may be attached to either a left or right gliding board in a ski mode or to both gliding boards in a snowboard mode. The binding includes left and right bottom rails attached to the bottom surface of a base plate, which define channels for slidable attachment to pucks disposed on the gliding board in snowboard mode. Each rail has a circular bore at a forward end for attachment to a counterpart pivot pin on a ski mode toe bracket in a ski mode by a sideways movement. A securing lever is disposed on an upper surface of the toe bracket. When the securing lever is rotated into a securing position, an end of the securing lever prevents removal of the pivot pin from the rail bore. Rotating the securing lever to a removal position allows the binding to be removed.
Snowboard training support apparatus
A snowboard support apparatus, attached to the snowboard in such a way that it extends from the board and provides a physical support for the rider to lean against in order to aid in the process of learning to snowboard. The support apparatus provides support to the rider to allow them to develop skills in being able to ride a snowboard in an incremental and natural manner without constraining the riding experience.
