A printer includes a first route to which a sheet from a roll paper is to be fed, a drive roller arranged on the first route and capable of sending the sheet, an image forming part (thermal printer head), a second route branched from the first route, a route changer for switching a route of the sheet, a curl corrector provided on the second route, and a cutter (cutting unit) provided on the first route. The curl corrector is configured to form the route with a curl correction roller and a guide member, and an advancing direction of the route is changeable 100 degrees or more when the sheet passes through the curl corrector.

A cassette includes: a tape roll rotatable about an axis extending in a first direction; a tape conveying passage; and first and second guides positioned at the tape conveying passage. The tape roll is a roll of a tape. The tape is conveyed in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction along the tape conveying passage. The first guide and the second guide are configured to guide widthwise edges of the tape in the first direction. The first guide has a first end surface and the second guide has a second end surface facing the first end surface in the first direction. The first end surface and the second end surface provide a distance therebetween in the first direction smaller than a widthwise length of the tape in the first direction.

Provided are a transfer roller 33 that transfers an image formed on a transfer film 46 to a card, peeling member 34b that peels off the transfer film 46 from the card after transferring the image, and transfer roller up-and-down means 61 and peeling member up-and-down means 62 for respectively moving the transfer roller 33 and the peeling member 34b up and down. By this means, the transfer roller 33 and the peeling member 34b are moved up and down respectively at predetermined timing before transfer and after transfer, and it is thereby possible to always perform stable image formation without causing the transfer film to become damaged and/or deformed.

Provided are a transfer roller 33 that transfers an image formed on a transfer film 46 to a card, peeling member 34b that peels off the transfer film 46 from the card after transferring the image, and transfer roller up-and-down means 61 and peeling member up-and-down means 62 for respectively moving the transfer roller 33 and the peeling member 34b up and down. A printer includes: a motor driving a transport member according to an operational parameter, to transport media along a media path from a media supply to a printhead; a first distance sensor disposed on a first side of the media path to measure a first distance between the media and the first distance sensor; and a controller configured to: receive the measured distance; detect curling of the media based on the first measured distance; and responsive to detecting curling of the media, update the operational parameter at the motor.

A leveling apparatus used in a cutting process after forming process of a pouch-type secondary battery, and the leveling apparatus includes: a roller assembly having pairs of upper rollers and lower rollers arranged in at least two rows for rolling in contact with upper and lower surfaces adjacent to both rim edges of the pouch-type secondary battery; and a support frame supporting the roller assembly, wherein the roller assembly applies rolling with respect to the upper and lower surfaces adjacent to both rim edges of the pouch-type secondary battery to thereby remove stress.

A leveling apparatus used in a cutting process after forming process of a pouch-type secondary battery, and the leveling apparatus includes: a roller assembly having pairs of upper rollers and lower rollers arranged in at least two rows for rolling in contact with upper and lower surfaces adjacent to both rim edges of the pouch-type secondary battery; and a support frame supporting the roller assembly, wherein the roller assembly applies rolling with respect to the upper and lower surfaces adjacent to both rim edges of the pouch-type secondary battery to thereby remove stress.
