POST-PROCESSING APPARATUS
A post-processing apparatus according to an embodiment includes a processing tray, a post-processing section, a sensor, and a control section. A sheet supplied from an image forming apparatus is led into the processing tray through a lead-in path. The post-processing section applies post-processing to the sheet sent from the processing tray. The sensor detects an object passing a detection space in the lead-in path. The control section controls operation of the post-processing section based on a time in which the sensor detects the object.
POST-PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD
A post-processing apparatus includes a sheet discharge tray to which a sheet or a sheet bundle is discharged, and a shift mechanism configured to shift a discharge position of the sheet or the sheet bundle discharged to the sheet discharge tray from a reference position. The apparatus further includes a controller configured to control the shift mechanism to divide the sheet or the sheet bundle in a first direction in a direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the sheet or the sheet bundle and a second direction opposite to the first direction.
PAPER STACKING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A paper stacking device includes: a stacker on which paper is stacked; a paper ejector that ejects the paper toward the stacker, and a paper floating member that supports, from below, a side end of the paper ejected from the paper ejector, wherein the paper floating member is switched between: a paper floating position that advances from a side of the side end of the paper to an ejection route of the paper, and causes the paper ejected from the paper ejector to float from uppermost paper stacked on the stacker, and a retreat position that retreats from the ejection route.

SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS
A sheet processing apparatus includes a processing tray; a conveyance roller for conveying a sheet towards a downstream side in a sheet conveyance direction; a pinch roller for moving between a first position away from the conveyance roller and a second position close to the conveyance roller, and to sandwich the sheet with the conveyance roller at the second position when the sheet is conveyed by the conveyance roller. The apparatus further includes an extruding member for extruding an upstream end of the sheet from the upstream side towards the downstream side to convey the sheet placed on the processing tray. The apparatus additionally includes a controller for conveying the sheet with the extruding member after the sheet is conveyed by the pinch roller and the conveyance roller when the sheet on the processing tray is conveyed to the downstream side in the sheet conveyance direction.

Automatic media loader for feeder
An automatic loader for delivering vertically stacked media to a hopper of a feeder. The automatic loader includes a powered conveying device, actuated plates, a first sensor, and a second sensor. The first sensors detects a height of the vertically stacked media that is in the hopper, and the second sensor detects a separation between the hopper and the vertically stacked media that is in a staging area of the conveying device. Based on signals generated by the first and second sensors, the conveying device automatically delivers the vertically stacked media that is in the staging area to the hopper of the feeder.
