A bill processing apparatus which is capable of reliably supplying information on a bill to the bill housing body side. The paper sheet processing apparatus has a bill housing part being capable of housing a bill inserted from a bill insertion slot, and also a reader/writer which wirelessly transmits information on the bill inserted from the bill insertion slot. The bill housing part has a coil antenna which wirelessly receives the information transmitted from the reader/writer, and a storage part which stores the information on the bill received from the coil antenna.

Before paper sheets are sent into the storage bag, the pressing unit is caused to advance into the storage bag and press the portion of the storage bag toward the placement unit.

A paper sheet storage mechanism (e.g., a banknote storage mechanism 32) is provided with a pressing unit (e.g., pressing plate 46) which advances into a storage bag (e.g., banknote storage bag 34) held by a holding unit (e.g., holding member 36) and presses a portion of the storage bag from inside toward a placement unit (e.g., stage 40), thereby bringing a portion of the storage bag placed on the placement unit into a state in which paper sheets are stackable thereon. Before paper sheets are sent into the storage bag, the pressing unit is caused to advance into the storage bag and press the portion of the storage bag toward the placement unit.

A value note cassette includes a first storage area for storing first notes of value of a first value note type. The first notes of value are storable in the first storage area in a first orientation. The value note cassette also includes a second storage area for storing second notes of value of a second value note type. The second storage area is separate from the first storage area. The second notes of value are storable in the second storage area in a second orientation. The first orientation is orthogonal to the second orientation.

A sheet handling apparatus configured to feed sheets from outside into the sheet handling apparatus, transport the fed sheets in a storage area which is outside of a storage bag in the sheet handling apparatus and store the transported sheets in the storage bag includes: a holder configured to be capable of detachably holding the storage bag; a pushing member configured to push a plurality of sheets transported in the storage area into the storage bag through the opening of the storage bag; and a pressing member configured to press the sheets stored in the storage bag held by the holder.

Example implementations relate to print media stacks. In some examples, a device may include a sheet channel to guide a sheet of print media within the sheet channel above and separated in a vertical direction from a stack of printed media when the sheet of print media exits a print path of a printer. The device may include a plurality of clamps to control alignment of the sheet of print media on the stack of printed media when the sheet channel moves outboard from the sheet of print media to allow the sheet of print media to fall onto the stack of printed media, wherein the plurality of clamps sequentially pin the sheet of print media to the stack of printed media from a middle portion of the sheet of print media outward.

To prevent erroneous transfer onto a paper sheet loading platform and improve the operation stability over the entire length of a long-edge direction of a pressing member by ensuring a long time during which the pressing member continues to push in a paper sheet alone. To include two rotating bodies 120 and 130 that have recesses 120a and 130a and are rotatable in opposite directions to each other in synchronization with each other, a pressing member 140 that is movable and presses an intermediate portion of a back of a paper sheet forward, a drive mechanism 180, and a paper sheet loading platform 200.
