IMAGE ACQUISITION SYSTEM FOR HEALTH EVALUATION OF LACTATING COW TEAT

The current invention pertains to digital livestock breeding, focusing on a novel image acquisition system designed for assessing the health of lactating cow teats. Addressing challenges related to image capture quality and operational complexity in dairy cow teat examination, the solution comprises a guard plate, a telescopic column with a hinge mechanism, and a photo unit. Straps are positioned at each end of the guard plate, and an installation seat is located at the rotational juncture. The telescopic column includes a fixed cylinder pivotally attached to the guard plate and a movable column within it, extending beyond the fixed cylinder. Additionally, a fixed grip is mounted on one side of the fixed cylinder's outer wall. This innovation streamlines user-friendly shooting and adjustment processes while enabling timely cleaning of the lens and light-emitting device, ensuring image clarity.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TREATING LIVESTOCK

A system for treating livestock may include a ramp for containing dairy livestock and one or more mobile units configured to travel on the ramp, below the dairy livestock, and milk the dairy livestock. A mobile unit may be adapted to travel to a predefined location within a stall, and attach a milking equipment unit to the dairy livestock in the stall. A plurality of mobile units and a central management unit may be configured to dynamically cause at least some of the plurality of mobile units to each perform a portion of a treatment or task.

AUTOMATED SYSTEM FOR APPLYING DISINFECTANT TO THE TEATS OF DAIRY LIVESTOCK
20180103605 · 2018-04-19 ·

A method for applying disinfectant to the teats of a dairy livestock includes determining that a stall of a rotary milking platform housing a dairy livestock is located adjacent to a track that has a carriage carrying a robotic arm. The method continues by communicating a first signal that causes operation of a first actuator such that the carriage moves along the track in relation to the rotary milking platform and independent of any physical coupling between the carriage and the rotary milking platform and in a direction corresponding to a direction of rotation of the rotary milking platform. The method concludes by communicating one or more additional signals that causes operation of one or more actuators of the robotic arm such that at least a portion of the robotic arm extends between the hind legs of a dairy livestock.
