Provided herein are applicators and methods for dispensing adhesive tape. Such adhesive tape applicators include a housing adapted to contain a roll of adhesive tape; a compressible tape hub attached to an inner surface of the housing and adapted to rotatably support the roll of adhesive tape; and an adhesive roller apparatus for applying the adhesive tape to a substrate. The compressibility of the compressible tape hub provides a means of braking and tearing the adhesive tape roll.

An apparatus for dispensing a pre-determined cut length of tape that includes a tape dispensing system that includes a tape dispenser, a scaling sensor that determines the length of a box or object to which the cut length of tape is to be applied and a control system including a processor processing signals from the scaling sensor to determine the length of the cut length of tape to be dispensed and controlling the dispenser to dispense the required length of tape.

A method of making a pad of labels comprises: printing display information on a top surface of a substrate; affixing a first layer of lamination material to a bottom surface of the substrate; affixing a second layer of lamination material to the top surface of the substrate, the second layer of lamination material having a release coating applied to a top surface thereof; applying an adhesive strip to a bottom surface of the first layer of lamination material, the adhesive strip being covered by a liner material; cutting the substrate having first and second layers of lamination material affixed into at least one label; removing the liner material to expose the adhesive strip after cutting the substrate into at least one label; and arranging the labels into a pad of labels.

A printer includes a first route to which a sheet from a roll paper is fed, a drive roller arranged on the first route and capable of sending the sheet, an image forming part (thermal printer head), a second route branched from the first route, a route changer for switching a route of the sheet, a curl corrector provided on the second route, and a cutter (cutting unit) provided on the first route. The curl corrector forms the route with a curl correction roller and a guide member, and an advancing direction of the route changes 100 degrees or more when the sheet passes through the curl corrector.

The present disclosure relates to tape dispensers that provide an easy to use locking mechanism for loading and unloading a roll of tape thereon. The dispenser includes a generally U-shaped frame with a pair of flexible sidewall arm portions that extend rearwardly in a generally side-by-side spaced apart relation. The dispenser includes inwardly facing opposed first and second hub portions that have a roll surface, a bottom surface, and an abutment surface, wherein the roll surface is configured to support the roll thereon. The frame also includes a pair of interlocking tabs disposed on the bottom surfaces hub portions. The tabs include a locking means for securing the hub portions together wherein the abutment surfaces of the first and second hubs are in direct contact.

Methods and devices for dispensing tape are disclosed. An example device may comprise a tape guide portion. The device may comprise a pair of side walls extending longitudinally rearward from the tape guide portion. The device may comprise a bar that at least partially extends from one of the pair of side walls towards the other of the pair of side walls. The device may comprise an aperture disposed through the tape guide portion to define a through hole from a top side to a bottom side of the tape guide portion for receiving a finger of a user to press tape extending from a tape roll against the bar to releasably affix the tape to allow cutting the tape.

A page registration system may include, in an example, a media edge sensor to detect a location of an edge of a print media along a media feed path and in a direction non-parallel to the media feed path and a calibration sensor downstream of the media edge sensor to detect changes in the location of the edge of the print media in the direction non-parallel to the media feed path, and provide calibration data to the page registration system to correct changes in the location of the edge of the print media in the direction non-parallel to the media feed path.

A device for dispensing adhesive tape or for dispensing medical products stored on a roll, comprising a base plate, fitted with a pin upon which a roll or adhesive tape is attached, further a tearing section with a tearing blade spaced at a distance from the pin. The base plate is associated with a fastening section for partially gripping a rod, a bar or the like, wherein the fastening section comprises an arm connected to the base plate, merging with a crosspiece, which is fixed to a free arm such that the rod, bar or the like can be accommodated between the free arm and the connected arm, at least one fastening unit being provided to join the connected arm to the free arm.

An apparatus for configuring an exercise performance area is described that includes a handle, a shank, a spindle, and a rotation handle. The shank is mechanically connected to the handle and holds a spindle a distance away from the handle. The spindle includes a number of spindle parts, the spindle parts forming a groove. A rotation handle is mechanically connected to the spindle, and, when turned, causes the spindle to rotate. The apparatus aids in applying floor strips to mats on an exercise performance area.

A tape dispenser housing wound adhesive tape includes a brake spoke tapering (i.e., narrowing) from a distal radial end to a proximal radial end relative to a tape rotational axis, wherein the brake spoke effectuates the braking of wound adhesive tape on a hub by contacting the wound adhesive tape, the hub, or both simultaneously.
