The present invention relates to apparatuses and processes for forming tabs on adhesive backed products. Specifically, the apparatus of the present invention provides a sequential series of mechanisms to form a tab on an adhesive-backed product, such as adhesive tape, so that the same may be easy to remove from an article at a later date. More specifically, the apparatus of the present invention provides a sequential series of mechanisms to form a tab that is formed solely of the adhesive-backed product itself, which may be utilized for the subsequent removal thereof after placement on an article.

Methods and devices for dispensing tape are disclosed. An example device may comprise a tape guide portion. The device may comprise a pair of side walls extending longitudinally rearward from the tape guide portion. The device may comprise a bar that at least partially extends from one of the pair of side walls towards the other of the pair of side walls. The device may comprise an aperture disposed through the tape guide portion to define a through hole from a top side to a bottom side of the tape guide portion for receiving a finger of a user to press tape extending from a tape roll against the bar to releasably affix the tape to allow cutting the tape.

An image forming apparatus, includes (1) a medium holding unit that holds a recording medium; (2) a guide member configured to be movable, that sets a medium path of the recording medium fed from the medium holding unit as a predetermined path by being locked in a predetermined position, and that is unlocked by a tension of the recording medium; (3) a first conveyance member that is arranged downstream of the medium path of the guide member, and conveys the recording medium; and (4) an image forming unit that forms an image to the recording medium conveyed by the first conveyance member.

An image forming apparatus, includes (1) a medium holding unit that holds a recording medium; (2) a guide member configured to be movable, that sets a medium path of the recording medium fed from the medium holding unit as a predetermined path by being locked in a predetermined position, and that is unlocked by a tension of the recording medium; (3) a first conveyance member that is arranged downstream of the medium path of the guide member, and conveys the recording medium; and (4) an image forming unit that forms an image to the recording medium conveyed by the first conveyance member.

The present invention provides a mechanical packing conversion apparatus integrating packaging, measuring, cutting and protecting functions, comprising a box, a measuring scale and a cutting mechanism. An upper cover of the box of the apparatus and a side plate connected to the upper cover can be overturned and opened from side faces, and the cutting mechanism is disposed on a sidewall in the box; the cutting mechanism comprises a head and a base, the head being fixed to the base, a handle, a transmission member and a blade all successively connected being disposed in the head; a through hole is formed at a bottom end of the head, and the blade is placed vertically above the through hole and is communicated with the through hole; a groove configured to receive the measuring scale is provided at a bottom end of the base; and the measuring scale is fixed to the bottom inside the box.

The present invention provides a mechanical packing conversion apparatus integrating packaging, measuring, cutting and protecting functions, comprising a box, a measuring scale and a cutting mechanism. A sheet cutting device includes a cutter, a movable member, a driving device, and a sheet holder. The movable member moves the cutter in a cutting direction. The driving device drives the movable member. The sheet holder is disposed on a downstream side of a sheet cutting position of the cutter in a sheet conveyance direction, to hold a sheet. The sheet holder includes a sheet holding member that is disposed on a sheet cutting start side of the cutter and is movable to a sheet holding position at which the sheet holding member holds the sheet and a non-holding position at which the sheet holding member does not hold the sheet. When the sheet is cut by the cutter, the sheet holding member moves to the sheet holding position. After cutting of the sheet has been completed, the sheet holding member moves to the non-holding position.
