A method includes forming a multi-pick yarn package through winding multiple oriented yarns onto a spool, with the multiple oriented yarns serving as weft yarns forming adjacent substantially parallel yarns wound together. Each of the multiple oriented yarns is formed through drawing each of multiple yarns from a corresponding supply package. The method also includes, using the multi-pick yarn package, simultaneously inserting the weft yarns in a single pick insertion event of a pick insertion apparatus of a loom apparatus in which the simultaneously inserted weft yarns are to be conveyed through a set of warp yarns to produce an incremental length of a woven textile fabric.

WINDING OF MULTIPLE ELONGATED ELEMENTS

A system (10) for winding multiple elongated elements (12, 14) simultaneously under a substantially same tension on a single spool (16) comprises one pendulum arm (18) and one set of actuators (22) acting on the pendulum arm (18) and balancing with the sum of tensions of each elongated element (12, 14). The system (10) further comprises one or more balancing arms (26, 40): A first balancing arm (26) is attached to the pendulum arm (18), the other balancing arms (if any) are attached to the first balancing arm (26). Each balancing arm (26) is pivotable upon a balancing arm axis (28). A first set of one or more reversing pulleys (30) is positioned at one side of the first balancing arm axis (28) and a second set of one or more reversing pulleys (32) is positioned at the other side of said balancing arm axis (28). Each of the reversing pulleys (30, 32) guides an elongated element (12, 14) to be wound.

Capstan and System of Capstans for Use in Spooling Multiple Conductors Onto a Single Reel

A capstan includes a lift motor, a flexible lifting member, and a tether assembly. The lift motor is operatively connected to a shaft. The flexible lifting member includes a first end and a second end. The first end is connected to the shaft. The flexible lifting member connects a lift assembly to the lift motor via the shaft. The tether assembly includes a switch arranged between a portion of the flexible lifting member and a portion of the capstan. The second end is connected to the tether assembly. The switch acts as a safety in case of a broken flexible lifting member and allows for an automated unloading cycle.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING WINDING-TYPE ELECTRONIC COMPONENT

A method of manufacturing a winding-type electronic component using stranded wires which can suppress a disconnection of a winding when a plurality of windings is twisted. The method of manufacturing a winding-type electronic component includes: a preparation step of allowing a chuck to hold a core having a winding core portion (14) and flange portions; a first step of fixing a portion of each of windings supplied from nozzles (N1, N2) to the flange portion; and a second step of twisting the windings by rotating the chuck.

Canister-yarn tensioning assembly incorporating a pivoted yarn tensioner
12415703 · 2025-09-16 · ·

A canister-yarn tensioning assembly is adapted for controlling tension in a running yarn drawn from a yarn supply package located within an open-top canister. The canister-yarn tensioning assembly includes a cylindrical adapter configured to reside at a mouth of the open-top canister. The adapter defines an unobstructed package transfer space sufficient to allow the yarn supply package to be manually lowered through the adapter and into the canister. A pivoted support arm is carried by the adapter, and configured to pivot at a connection point located on a peripheral flange of the adapter. One or more yarn tensioners are carried by the pivoted support arm, and are movable between an operative position within the package transfer space and an inoperative package-replacement position outside of the package transfer space.
