Releasable magnetic pole strap systems are disclosed. Embodiments are directed to a releasable magnetic pole strap system including a pole which includes: a proximal end having a distal surface; and a pole attachment device connected to the distal surface of the proximal end of the pole. The system also includes a strap including a strap attachment device which is configured to be releasably attached to the pole attachment device. The distal surface of the proximal end of the pole is at least partially covered by the pole attachment device. Each of the pole attachment device and the strap attachment device includes either a magnet or a non-magnetic ferric material. At least one of the pole attachment device or the strap attachment device includes a magnet.

A pole handle having a central receiving area that receives a loop fastening element with a hand loop, which is secured to the loop fastening element and has an adjustable size. The loop fastening element and the hand loop is secured to the loop fastening element to form a modular unit which is formed separately from a core of the pole handle and which is secured to the core of the pole handle in a reversibly tiltable manner about a rotational axis in the pole handle. The loop fastening element can be tilted from a rest position, in which the loop fastening element is integrated into the surface contour of the handle head and in which the size of the hand loop cannot be adjusted, upwards about the rotational axis into an adjustment position, in which the size of the hand loop can be adjusted.

Pole handle, for alpine ski poles or cross-country ski poles, with a handle body and with a hook for fastening a hand holding device. A displaceable latching structure is arranged in the region of the hook so that an eye-shaped device which is pushed in from above and is provided on the hand holding device is fixed in a self-locking manner. The hook is arranged on the stick handle on the hand side in the upper region. A holding mandrel, which is set off from the handle body to the hand side, forms an insertion slot. The latching structure includes a retaining lug which defines a region, restricted against a force, for the eye-shaped device. An upper region of the holding mandrel or the entire holding mandrel, viewed in the running direction, can be deflected laterally on both sides against a restoring force.

Technologies are disclosed herein for controlling a head-mountable heads-up display system comprising a heads-up display unit and a hand cover. The hand cover includes a plurality of input elements located on appendages thereof that are configured to cause the hand cover to transmit input signals to the heads-up display unit. The heads-up display unit is configured to display virtual image content within a field of view of a user. As a result of receiving a user input, the heads-up display unit may display virtual image content based on a user input. The heads-up display unit updates the virtual image content as a result of receiving an input signal corresponding to an interaction between a pair of input elements of the hand cover. The heads-up display system may be useable in connection with a system of an outdoor recreational area to obtain information regarding the outdoor recreational area.

A pole handle for a ski pole or trekking pole, having a head region and a handle region , and an axial orifice which is open downwardly on one side to receive a pole tube, wherein the pole handle has a core with a left-hand side wall and a right-hand side wall, at least in certain regions, wherein the two side walls are connected at the top by a top surface so that the walls and the surface enclose a cavity, and the left-hand side wall and the right-hand side wall laterally delimit the cavity, and wherein the two side walls each have at least one aperture in a direction transverse to the pole handle longitudinal axis (S) and transverse to the direction of travel with a determined area.

An apparatus for training a student to ski is a ski pole that, used in a pair and held laterally, converts to guiding harness. The apparatus is configured as a pair arranged around the student and held by both student and instructor. The apparatus converts to typical-use ski poles when training is complete. The apparatus is configured like a typical-use ski pole, but articulated with a ratchet joint that enables arrangement around the student.

A ski pole holder is provided. The ski pole holder is positioned toward a toe side of a ski footwear, to secure a portion of the ski pole within a channel of the ski pole holder. The ski pole holder includes a housing with the channel that extends towards the skier. When the skier is riding a ski lift, the ski pole is received within the housing to retain the ski pole. Fasteners within the channel secure the ski pole to the ski pole holder. The housing also includes a front sidewall and guides to help ensure that the tip of the ski pole is easily positioned within the channel. A lateral sidewall includes an open slot to provide for removal of snow that accumulates within the channel. The ski pole holder is attachable to the upper side of the ski footwear or is permanently integrated.

A holder for carrying a ski pole on a skier includes a clamp adapted to be removably engaged to the ski pole and facilitate a holding of the ski pole with the skier. The clamp includes a clip including a substantially C shape and adapted to engage with the ski pole, and a post extending outwardly from an outer surface of the clip. The holder also includes a coupler coupled to the post and adapted to be removably coupled to a clothing of the skier.
