PROTECTIVE INSERT
20190218057 · 2019-07-18 ·

A protective insert for protecting e.g. coils or rolls of sheet steel or aluminum is disclosed. The protective insert is open and diametrically adjustable. The ends of the protective insert may be adjustably engaged by means of engagement means. The engagement means permit diametrical adjustment and locking of the diameter of the protective insert to a suitable diameter. A method of protecting a portion of an object, in particular a roll of sheet material, having a hollow core, is also disclosed.

CABLE REEL AND REEL CARRYING CADDY

A cable caddy with a portable housing stores cable reels. Each reel includes a drum coupled to end caps. Plugs inserted in the end caps are irrotatable with respect to the housing and rotatable with respect to the drum. During transport reels are stacked vertically atop one another with a plug of a first reel inserted in a plug of a second reel.

PEELER TOOL SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF

A liner-removing tool for peeling a protective liner secured to a wheel-balancing weights strip is presented, the liner-removing tool comprising a liner peeler comprising a liner-contacting portion for engaging the protective liner secured to the wheel-balancing weights strip, the liner peeler being movable between a liner-contacting position, for engaging an end of the protective liner secured to the wheel-balancing weights strip; and a liner-removing position for routing the protective liner once the end of the protective liner is unsecured from the wheel-balancing weights strip and engaged with the liner peeler.

INDEPENDENTLY ROTATABLE FLANGES AND ATTACHABLE ARBOR HOLE ADAPTERS

A pair of flanges attachable to the arbor hole of a reel is disclosed. The flanges provide a mechanism to allow the reel to be easily loaded, and lifted into place. Once loaded into place, the flanges may include a locking mechanism that locks the reel in place, centered on the flanges. Additionally, the flanges are attachable using a hub that allows them to rotate independently from one another, and from the reel to which they are attached.

Reel Core for Spooling Continuous Substrate or Strand

A reel core includes a tubular body with a low resistance to abrasion, open at both ends, with an inner surface and an outer surface. Each of the opposite ends of the tubular body features a groove cut into the inner surface and designed for the push-fit of end protectors for the opposite ends of the tubular body. These end protectors are manufactured from an abrasion-resistant material and feature an inner surface that sits flush with the inner surface of the tubular body. Each end protector has an outer flange that covers the front of the end of the tubular body with an outer surface that is flush with the outer surface of the tubular body.

Film dispenser

A film dispenser for use in unwinding film from coreless film rolls. A first dispenser member is selectively matable with a second dispenser member. The first and second dispenser members can be mated together in at least two angular positions. The position of a radially outward facing surface of the dispenser can be adjusted based on the angular position of the dispenser members so that the dispenser can firmly engage and support film rolls of varying internal dimensions. Each of the dispenser members can have a radially extending support wall. The support walls define complementary interlocking formations. When the dispenser members are mated together, the complementary interlocking formations engage one another to form a rigid connection between the dispenser members. The engaged support walls radially support a central region of the film roll.

Pharmaceutical Packaging Apparatus, Method Of Determining Remaining Quantity Of Pharmaceutical Packaging Paper And Pharmaceutical Packaging Paper Roll

Medicine packaging apparatuses and methods for accurately determining a remaining sheet amount of a medicine packaging sheet are described. The apparatus includes: a roll support section to which a core tube of a medicine packaging sheet roll is attached; a sensor disposed in the roll support section for outputting a count value according to a rotation amount; a wireless reader-writer unit for writing information to a core tube IC tag and reading said information; an information generation section for generating information to be written to the core tube IC tag; a remaining sheet amount estimation section for estimating a current amount of remaining sheet based on the information and dimensional information of the core tube; and a controller which selectively performs an operation if a reference time-point count value is not yet written to the core tube IC tag and another operation if the count value is already written thereto.

METHOD FOR PROVIDING COMPONENT INFORMATION AT A TEXTILE MACHINE COMPONENT, AND TEXTILE MACHINE COMPONENT

A textile machine component and to a method for providing component information at the textile machine component, in particular at a spindle arrangement for spinning or twisting machines. In order to ensure permanent and reliable provision of component information at a plastic-coated textile machine component, provision is made for the textile machine component to be enclosed at least in sections by a heat-shrinkable plastic enclosure that provides the component information, the enclosure being shrunk onto the textile machine component. In order to provide a plastic-coated textile machine component, in particular a spindle arrangement, with component information that can be acquired reliably, provision is made for a plastic enclosure that provides component information to be shrunk onto at least a section of the textile machine component.

Roll stabilizing support structure

An apparatus for stabilizing a roll of material includes a first and a second conical base. The first conical base has a first through-hole extending completely through the first conical base along a first central axis. The first conical base also has a first tapering section circumscribing and concentric with the first through-hole, the first tapering section configured to be inserted into a first opening of a central bore of the roll. The second conical base has a second through-hole extending completely through the second conical base along a second central axis. The second conical base has a second tapering section circumscribing and concentric with the second through-hole, the second tapering section configured to be inserted into a second opening opposite the first opening of the central bore of the roll. Engagement between the roll and the first and second conical base structures operably stabilizes rotation of the roll.

Braking wrap dispenser

A film dispenser includes a holding member including a first end and a second end joined to the first end, the holding member defining a longitudinal axis extending from the first end to the second end, the second end defining a brake portion and a slot defined by the brake portion, the slot including a first slot portion extending in a circumferential direction across a width of the brake portion and second and third slot portions extending across a length of the brake portion, the second and third slot portions distal from each other on opposing sides of the brake portion, the slot further including fourth and fifth slot portions angled with respect to the second and third slot portions, respectively, the fourth and fifth slot portions extending in a circumferential direction, the fourth and fifth slot portions of the slot intersecting the second and third slot portions, respectively.
