An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus including a stacking portion, an image forming unit, and a fixing portion; a pressure-bonding processing apparatus including a folding processing portion, and a pressure-bonding portion; an inputting portion capable of inputting directions of a front surface and a back surface of the recording material stacked on the stacking portion; and a displaying portion for displaying a message indicating that a pressure-bonding printed matter is not properly prepared in a case that directions of the front surface and the back surface of the recording material inputted by the inputting portion are different from directions of the front surface and the back surface of the recording material in which the pressure-bonding printed matter is capable of being properly prepared.

A sheet processing apparatus includes: a center-folder to perform a center-folding process on a sheet bundle including multiple sheet materials; a back-crimp binder to: form a back portion on the sheet bundle subjected to the center-folding process; and perform a crimp-binding process on the back portion; and a controller configured to: cause the center-folder to perform the center-folding process; and cause the back-crimp binder to perform the crimp-binding process on the back portion while forming the back portion on the sheet bundle in the crimp-binding process.

An apparatus for processing sheets includes a conveyor that conveys a sheet on which a plurality of fold lines are set, a folder that folds the sheet conveyed by the conveyor along the fold lines, an applicator that applies an adhesive to the sheet and a controller configured to control the conveyor, the folder, and the applicator. The controller includes an acquirer configured to acquire processing information of the sheet, a fold line determinator configured to determine, based on the processing information acquired by the acquirer, which one of the plurality of fold lines along which the sheet is to be folded by the folder and a folding controller configured to control the folder to fold the sheet in accordance with determination of the fold line determinator.

A paper folding machine includes: a conveyor belt configured to transport a sheet; a stopper configured to abut against the leading end of the sheet to stop the sheet; a knife having an elongated shape and configured to move onto a folding position of the sheet stopped by the stopper; a guide made of a rigid material and configured to hold the sheet between the conveyor belt and the guide and press the sheet transported to the stopper; and a lifting mechanism configured to adjust the clearance between the guide and the conveyor belt.

An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus including a stacking portion capable of stacking a recording material having an adhesive region in which an adhesive is applied onto a surface of the recording material, an image forming unit for forming an image on the recording material, and a fixing portion for fixing the image formed on the recording material; a pressure-bonding processing apparatus including a folding processing portion for folding the recording material fed from the image forming apparatus, and a pressure-bonding portion capable of pressure-bonding the recording material folded by the folding processing portion under pressure application; an inputting portion capable of inputting directions of a front surface and a back surface of the recording material stacked on the stacking portion; and a displaying portion for displaying a pressure-bonding printed matter, on which the image is formed, depending on a result inputted by the inputting portion.
