The ITM (44) is configured to receive droplets of one or more printing fluids so as to form an image thereon, and to transfer the image to a target substrate (50). The substrate conveyor (80) is configured to grip and move the target substrate (50) to and from the ITM (44) for transferal of the image, the substrate conveyor (80) includes one or more rotatable elements (110, 200), which are configured to provide mechanical support to the target substrate (50), such that, when the target substrate (50) moves over the one or more rotatable elements (110, 200), at least one of the rotatable elements (110, 200) is configured to rotate in response to a physical contact with the target substrate (50).
ENDLESS BELT, BELT UNIT, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An endless belt includes a base material layer, the base material layer containing a polymer material and conductive particles, wherein in a section of the base material layer in a thickness direction, the conductive particles have an area ratio of 9.0% or more and 14.5% or less, an average value of areas of Delaunay triangles taking centers of gravity of the conductive particles as vertices is 0.10 μm.sup.2 or more and 0.90 μm.sup.2 or less, and a standard deviation of the areas is 0.010 μm.sup.2 or more and 0.080 μm.sup.2 or less.
Sheet feeding device including a plurality of separation pieces movable to separate uppermost sheet from stack of sheets
A sheet feeding device includes: an accommodating unit having a placement surface on which the stack of sheets is mounted; an inclined member having an inclined surface inclined relative to the placement surface to extend in an inclined direction and a back surface opposite the inclined surface; a sheet pick-up unit for feeding an uppermost sheet in the stack of sheets toward the inclined member; and a sheet separating member provided on the inclined surface. The sheet separating member includes a plurality of separation pieces and a support portion those made of resin. The support portion supports the separation pieces at positions closer to the back surface than to the inclined surface so that the separation pieces are movable away from the placement surface in the inclined direction and toward the back surface in a normal direction of the inclined surface independently from one another.
Preventing damage to printed substrates conveyed in a printing system
A system (10) includes an intermediate transfer member (ITM) (44) and a substrate conveyor (80).
Roller for feeding and conveying paper sheets
Disclosed is a paper-sheet-feeding/conveying roller having a shaft, and a bi-layer roller material which is formed of an inner layer provided on the shaft and an outer layer. The inner layer provided on the shaft is a foamed elastic layer. The outer layer provided on the foamed elastic layer is a non-foamed elastic layer. The foamed elastic layer is formed of a foamed elastic body of silicone-modified EPDM.
FLAT WOUND TAPE ARTICLE AND METHOD
Flat wound tape article with a flat core and tape wound around the core. The article is configured so that it can help protect the edges of the tape from adhering to dirt, dust, lint, etc. while maintaining a convenient shape for use.
ROLLER DEVICE FOR GUIDING A FLEXIBLE SUBSTRATE, USE OF A ROLLER DEVICE FOR TRANSPORTING A FLEXIBLE SUBSTRATE, VACUUM PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND METHOD OF PROCESSING A FLEXIBLE SUBSTRATE
A roller device for guiding a flexible substrate is described. The roller device includes a support surface for contacting the flexible substrate, the support surface having a coating comprising an electronegative polymer. Further, a vacuum processing apparatus for processing a flexible substrate including the roller device and a method of processing a flexible substrate in the vacuum processing apparatus is described.
APPARATUS FOR CORELESS FILM ROLL
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus (100) or a reusable dispenser adaptable for mounting coreless stretch film (106) comprising a hollow cylindrical body (101) with at least one elongated slit (102) along the length of the cylindrical body wherein, the body has a right portion (107a) and a left portion (107b), and an outer wall (104) in which at least one of the left or right portion (107a, 107b) is compressed for slotting into an opening of the film roll (106), such that the outer wall (104) mounts firmly onto inner wall (105) of the opening for grasping the surface of inner sheet of the film roll during dispensing.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus has: a cassette which stores a sheet; a pickup roller which picks up the sheet inside the cassette; a feed roller which feeds the sheet picked up by the pickup roller toward an image forming portion; and a retard roller which is pressed against the feed roller and forms a separation nip. In addition, the image forming apparatus has a conveying guide which guides the sheet picked up by the pickup roller to the separation nip. A first guide member of the conveying guide is configured to be slidable in a drawing direction when the feed roller is replaced, and the conveying guide is formed of a material whose property of light transmittance of light having a wavelength of 360 nm to 420 nm is 80% or more. The feed roller is detachable from the one end of a shaft in a state in which the cassette is drawn out along the rail and the conveying guide is slid in the drawing direction.
