Sheet transporting device, document feeder, and image forming apparatus
A sheet transporting device in which a curved transport path is provided downstream in a sheet transport direction from a merging section where a plurality of transport paths, which are formed by transport guides for transporting sheets, merge, is provided. The sheet transporting device includes a sheet guide member that extends towards the curved transport path from the merging section, with an extending end portion of the sheet guide member being disposed so as not to contact the transport guides. The sheet guide member reduces jumping up of a trailing end portion of a sheet caused by flexing of the sheet passing through the merging section towards the curved transport path.
Image forming apparatus with transport for magnetic sheets
A magnetic sheet transport apparatus according to an embodiment includes a transport path on which a magnetic sheet having a magnetic flux is transported. A magnetic member is disposed on the transport path. A separation unit is disposed on the magnetic member. The separation unit causes the magnetic sheet to be separated from the magnetic member so that the magnetic sheet being transported on the transport path is not pushed onto the magnetic member by the magnetic flux.
Guide wheel arrangement
The invention relates to a guide wheel arrangement for guiding two-dimensional material webs, in particular for guiding material webs or material sheets. The guide wheel arrangement comprises a guide wheel comprising an inner central hub section and an outer guide ring, which is connected to the inner hub section in a rotationally fixed manner for guiding the two-dimensional material elements, as well as an insert bushing which is to be arranged on a shaft and is concentrically inserted into the inner hub section, wherein the insert bushing is connected to the guide wheel in a rotationally fixed manner.
CONVEYING APPARATUS, SHEET CONVEYING APPARATUS AND IMAGE RECORDING APPARATUS
A conveying apparatus includes: a casing formed with a first sheet-conveyance passage and a second sheet-conveyance passage positioned inwardly as compared with the first sheet-conveyance passage; a cover member including a first resin member having a first guide surface for defining the first sheet-conveyance passage, a second resin member attached to the first resin member and located on an inner side of the casing than the first guide surface and defining the first sheet-conveyance passage, and a third resin member attached to the second resin member at a position opposite to the first resin member with respect to the second resin member and having a third guide surface for defining the second sheet-conveyance passage; and a metal frame attached to the second resin member at a position between the second resin member and the third resin member.
Paper output tray, paper output unit incorporating same, and image forming apparatus incorporating same
A paper output tray, which can be included in a paper output unit in an image forming apparatus, includes a tray body, a paper support extension slidably attached to the tray body and arranged switchable between a stored state in which the paper support extension is stored in the tray body and an extended state in which the paper support extension is pulled out to extend from the tray body, and a stopper rotatably attached to the paper support extension and arranged switchable between a folded state in which the stopper is folded to the paper support extension and a standing state in which the stopper is raised from the paper support extension. With the paper support extension in the stored state and the stopper in the folded state, the stopper overlaps an outer surface of the tray body.
Sheet conveyance apparatus and image forming apparatus
A sheet conveyance apparatus is equipped with a first rotator, a second rotator conveying a sheet together with the first rotator, a cam member changing a position of the second rotator with respect to the first rotator, a drive unit rotating the cam member, and a load portion applying load on a rotation of the cam member. The load portion includes a contact member having a cam surface formed on a side surface in an axial direction of the cam member, an abutment member capable of abutting against the cam surface, and a biasing member biasing one of the contact member and the abutment member toward the other, a biasing force of the biasing member converted into a force, applying load to the rotating cam member, by the cam surface opposing to a rotating direction in which the cam member is driven by the drive unit.
Manufacturing method for ridged paper ejection roller
A ridged paper ejection roller according to the present invention conveys a paper sheet in cooperation with a plurality of star wheels disposed apart from each other in a width direction of the paper sheet, and includes a rigid main shaft body and a resin body coated on the main shaft body. The resin body integrally includes a plurality of large diameter-regions that work in conjunction with the respective star wheels to hold therebetween and convey the paper sheet, and small-diameter regions other than the large-diameter regions.
ROLLER FOR FEEDING AND CONVEYING PAPER SHEETS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE ROLLER
Disclosed is a paper-sheet-feeding/conveying roller having an elastic body 10 and a surface treatment layer 11 which has been formed by impregnating a surface portion 10a of the elastic body 10 with a treatment liquid containing an isocyanate compound and curing the liquid; and the micro hardness (Hs.sub.1) of the surface treatment layer 11, the friction coefficient (.sub.1) of the surface treatment layer 11, the micro hardness (Hs.sub.2) of the elastic body 10 after removal of the surface treatment layer 11 and the friction coefficient (.sub.2) of the elastic body 10 after removal of the surface treatment layer 11, the micro hardness values being determined by way of a micro hardness tester, satisfy the following relationships of formulas (1) and (2): 0<(Hs.sub.1Hs.sub.2)/Hs.sub.217% (1) and |.sub.1.sub.2|/.sub.2<22% (2).
Abrasion-resistant belt
A belt having a first cover layer with a first top surface and preferably also a second cover layer with a second top surface, wherein the first cover layer and, if present, the second cover layer are made of a foam having a thermoplastic or thermoplastic elastomer, in particular a TPU or PEBA. The belt is suitable e.g. as a machine tape in mail sorting machines and for power transmission.
DEVICE FOR HANDLING AND STACKING FLEXIBLE SHEETS
A device for handling/stacking flexible sheets is described that includes: a box-shaped body having an inlet area and an outlet area; a helical conveying element for the flexible sheets, housed in the box-shaped body and extending between the inlet and outlet areas; and a drive assembly connected to the helical conveying element and configured to drive it around a rotation axis. The helical conveying element includes a helical thrust wall, wound helically about the rotation axis and having a thrust surface wound helically about the rotation axis, which, because of the rotation of the helical conveying element about the rotation axis, contacts/pushes the flexible sheets towards the outlet area. The helical conveying element includes a stiffening wall, which protrudes from the thrust wall away from the thrust surface and is wound about the rotation axis for at least one winding section of the thrust wall about the rotation axis.
