CABLE STORAGE AND HANDLING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
An assembly and method for deploying, retrieving, and storing a cable having a minimum bend radius onto a drum. The assembly may comprise a frame, a rotatable drum carried by the frame, a levelwind carried by the frame, and a powertrain. The levelwind may comprise a rail spanning at least the width of the drum, and a traversable carriage carried by the rail. The levelwind may also comprise a cable guide carried by the carriage, where the cable guide comprises an elongated chute having contoured walls. The contoured walls of the chute include no bends having a radius less than the minimum bend radius of the cable. The powertrain may be operatively connected to rotate the drum about the drum axis and traverse the carriage along the rail. In some examples, the contoured walls of the chute are coated with a supplmentary coating.
SHEET CONVEYANCE DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM INCLUDING THE SAME
A sheet conveyance device 10 includes a first conveyance path 12a having a linear portion 121 along which a sheet is to be linearly conveyed, a second conveyance path 12b branched from the linear portion 121 and a branch member 30 which is to be set selectively to a first position for guiding the sheet to a downstream side of the first conveyance path 12a or a second position for guiding the sheet to the second conveyance path 12b. The branch member 30 is made up of a resinous guide body 31 having a first guide surface 31a for guiding the sheet to a downstream side of the first conveyance path 12a, and a metallic guide plate 35. A second guide surface 35a for guiding the sheet to the second conveyance path 12b is formed of the resinous guide body 31 and the metallic guide plate 35.
Sheet accommodating device and image forming apparatus including the same
A sheet accommodating device includes a first plate member on which sheets are mounted, a first biasing member that presses up the first plate member, a second plate member disposed on a side of the first plate member opposite to a side of the first plate member on which the sheets are mounted; and a second biasing member that presses up the second plate member, and has a configuration in which, according to a size of the sheets, the first biasing member presses up the first plate member or both the first and second biasing members press up both the first and second plate members. An area of the first plate member is smaller than an area of the second plate member.
GRIPPER CARRIAGE. SHEET-PROCESSING MACHINE COMPRISING A GRIPPER CARRIAGE AND A RADIATION DRYER, AND METHOD FOR TRANSPORTING SHEETS
A gripper carriage transports a sheet in a sheet transport direction along a sheet transport path. The gripper carriage has a wall and a reflector. The reflector is associated with a flank of the wall which is trailing, in relation to the sheet transport direction.
Splicing device and tape detecting method using the same
A splicing device includes a first detection section which detects whether or not the component storage section protrudes downward from the conveyance reference surface; a second detection section which detects the component storage section of the paper tape; a discrimination section which determines whether a tape inserted into the splicing device is the embossed tape or the paper tape based on a detection signal of the first detection section; a first calculating section which calculates a pitch of the component storage section of the embossed tape by using the first detection section in a case where the embossed tape is determined; and a second calculating section which calculates a pitch of the component storage section of the paper tape by using the second detection section in a case where the paper tape is determined.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a first frame member and a second frame member which are aligned in a direction of a rotation axis of an image bearing member and faces each other across an image forming unit and a stacking unit. The first frame member includes a first portion including a first side surface facing the image forming unit and a second portion, which is fixed to the first portion, including a second side surface facing the stacking unit. The second frame member includes a third side surface facing the image forming unit and the stacking unit, and at least a part of the second side surface is provided in a position different from a position of the first side surface in the direction of the rotation axis of the image bearing member.
Conveying apparatus, sheet conveying apparatus and image recording apparatus
A conveying apparatus includes: a casing formed with a first sheet-conveyance passage and a second sheet-conveyance passage positioned inwardly as compared with the first sheet-conveyance passage; a cover member including a first resin member having a first guide surface for defining the first sheet-conveyance passage, a second resin member attached to the first resin member and located on an inner side of the casing than the first guide surface and defining the first sheet-conveyance passage, and a third resin member attached to the second resin member at a position opposite to the first resin member with respect to the second resin member and having a third guide surface for defining the second sheet-conveyance passage; and a metal frame attached to the second resin member at a position between the second resin member and the third resin member.
SHEET TRANSPORT DEVICE INCLUDING TWO TYPES OF CORRUGATION MEMBERS, SHEET POSTPROCESSING APPARATUS, AND SHEET POSTPROCESSING SYSTEM
