IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body and a moveable unit. The apparatus body includes an image forming device and a restriction portion. The moveable unit includes an image reading device and is detachably attached to the apparatus body. The moveable unit is opened and closed with respect to the apparatus body by rotation about a rotation shaft when the moveable unit is attached to the apparatus body. The moveable unit is attached to and detached from the apparatus body by moving in an axial direction of the rotation shaft. The moveable unit further includes a restricted portion that engages with the restriction portion that restricts a movement of the moveable unit in the axial direction. The restriction portion or the restricted portion further includes a deformation portion having elasticity. The deformation portion is deformed so that the moveable unit is attached to and detached from the apparatus body.
Sheet conveyer and image forming apparatus
A sheet conveyer having a conveyer path to convey a sheet therein, a first path and a second path branched from the conveyer path, a flapper, a pair of pivot-shaft portions, and a supporting section, is provided. The flapper is movable between a first position to guide the sheet from the conveyer path to the first path and a second position to guide the sheet from the conveyer path to the second position. The pivot-shaft portions are located apart from each other in a widthwise direction. The pivot-shaft portions support the flapper pivotably. The supporting section is located between the pair of pivot-shaft portions in the widthwise direction. The supporting section supports the flapper pivotably. The supporting section includes a rotation-shaft portion being rotatable, a bearing portion, in which the rotation-shaft portion is fitted, and a buffer member located between the rotation-shaft portion and the bearing portion.
Supply device for roll medium and recording device
A supply device for a roll medium includes a drawer-type lower holding unit configured to support a shaft of a roll medium to hold the roll medium, and a guide member configured to be pressed in a direction toward the shaft from below to come into contact with the roll medium held by the lower holding unit, and be displaced in accordance with a change in an outer diameter of the roll medium. In addition, the lower holding unit is configured to be drawn from a main body of the supply device in a first direction. When the lower holding unit, in a drawn-out state, is stored in the main body of the supply unit, the guide member comes into contact with the roll medium. The guide member is caused to be retracted downward from a travel path of the lower holding unit against a force pressing upward from below.
Image reading apparatus and image forming apparatus
An image reading apparatus includes a stacking portion, a feeding unit, a reading unit, and a discharge portion provided below the stacking portion. The feeding unit feeds a sheet stacked on the stacking portion in a feeding direction. The reading unit reads an image on the fed sheet and the discharge portion discharges the read sheet. The stacking portion includes first and second support surfaces that support the sheet and first and second regulating units to regulate a position of the sheet in a widthwise direction using two opposing ends of the sheet. The second support surface is retractable from a predetermined section above the discharge portion. The first support surface includes a downstream support portion that supports the sheet on a downstream side of the predetermined section in the feeding direction. A part of the second regulating surface is positioned on the downstream support portion.

A printer has a lower module and upper module. The lower module has a paper feed unit and a printing unit. A back of the upper module is hinged to lower module. A paper handling part holds paper after printing by the printing unit. A discharge unit in the upper module moves the paper out of the upper module while maintaining a hold on a rear portion of the paper and to draw the paper back into the upper module after an elapse of time. A container includes a support member that rotates into contact with and moves away from a lower part of the upper module. The container configured to receive and store the paper that has been drawn back by the discharge unit. The paper is stored in a region between the support member and the lower part of the upper module.
Transport device, printing apparatus, and method for adjusting feeding unit
Provided is a transport device including a feeding unit on which a roll-type medium is set and which feeds the medium by rotating the medium, and an endless transport belt that transports the medium in a transport direction by supporting the medium fed out from the feeding unit and rotating. When seen from a support direction in which the transport belt supports the medium, the feeding unit is configured to change the posture thereof so as to incline a rotating shaft of the medium with respect to a width direction that is a direction intersecting the transport direction.

A recording material processing apparatus includes a guide shaft of which an axial direction extends in a recording material width direction intersecting a discharge direction of a recording material, and an alignment unit that moves along the guide shaft, in which the alignment unit includes a bearing portion that is movably fitted onto the guide shaft, an alignment portion that is provided to be exposed at an outer side in the discharge direction and comes into contact with an end surface of the recording material that is parallel to the discharge direction from an outer side of the recording material to align a position of the end surface, an arm portion that connects the bearing portion and the alignment portion to each other, and a protruding portion that protrudes from a surface of the arm portion to a position outside the recording material in the axial direction of the guide shaft and comes into contact with a surface of a device main body, which is parallel to the discharge direction, in a case where an external force is applied to the alignment unit with the alignment unit being at a position close to the surface.

An image forming apparatus includes a first supporting member supporting a long sheet, a feeding unit for feeding the long sheet supported by the first supporting member with respect to a feeding direction and a second supporting member, rotatable about a rotational shaft, for supporting the long sheet with the first supporting member. In a state in which the sheet is bent so that a first portion of the long sheet is supported by the first supporting member and a second portion which is a more rear side than the first portion is positioned above the first portion, the second supporting member is movable between a first position where the second supporting member supports the second portion of the sheet and a second position where the center of gravity of the second supporting member is positioned downstream of a rotational center with respect to the feeding direction and the second supporting member maintains an attitude thereof by its own weight.
SHEET STOPPER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A turnable sheet stopper blocks and passes a sheet conveyed on a sheet guide, and includes a proximal portion, a distal portion connected to the end of the proximal portion, and a folding mechanism that connects the distal portion to the proximal portion. The sheet stopper transitions between first and second positions. In the second position, the proximal and distal portions integrally turn to the downstream side in the sheet conveyance direction to allow the sheet to pass. The sheet stopper transitions from the second position to a third position when a user draws out the sheet from an upstream side. In the third position, the distal portion folds toward the upstream side to allow the sheet to be drawn out. During transition from the second position to the third position, the edge of the distal portion is located on or away from an outer surface of the sheet guide.
