Provided is a sheet feeding apparatus including a sheet storing tray for loading sheets, an apparatus main body to which the sheet storing tray is slidably attached, and a restriction mechanism that restricts a position of the sheet storing tray. The restriction mechanism includes an engagement portion provided in the apparatus main body and a stopper member that is provided in the sheet storing tray and engages with the engagement portion. The stopper member is configured so as to be movable in a crossing direction crossing a direction in which the sheet storing tray slides and determines a position in the crossing direction of the sheet storing tray with respect to the apparatus main body.

Medium supply apparatus and image forming apparatus

A medium supply apparatus includes a box member, a bottom plate, and a rotary portion. A medium is stored inside the box member. The box member is inserted into and extracted from a body of an image forming apparatus. The bottom plate is disposed at a bottom portion of the box member. The medium is placed on the bottom plate. The bottom plate is lifted up by an elastic force of an elastic member. The rotary portion is attached to a side wall, among walls of the box member, positioned on a lateral side with respect to a front side toward which the box member is extracted from the image forming apparatus. The rotary portion is rotatable about a location of attachment of the rotary portion. The rotary portion includes a rear portion and a front portion. The rear portion is positioned on a rear side, in contrast to the front side, with respect to the location of attachment. The rear portion is moved upward by a reaction force applied from the body when the box member is extracted. The front portion is positioned on the front side with respect to the location of attachment. The front portion is moved downward by rotation of the rotary portion due to upward movement of the rear portion to lower the bottom plate against the elastic force.

Sliding device for material shaft
10654675 · 2020-05-19 · ·

A sliding device for a material shaft includes a shaft body, sliding units, spacers. An outer periphery of the shaft body has axial accommodating grooves. The sliding units and the spacers are spaced and arranged in the accommodating grooves. A top surface of each roller extends out of the outer periphery of the shaft body. When a material roll is sleeved on the shaft body, the inner wall of the material roll is in contact with the outer periphery of the rollers. When the material roll is to be mounted on or dismounted from the shaft body, the material roll is pushed in a direction so that the inner wall of the material roll rubs against the rollers, thereby rotating the rollers. The friction between the material roll and the shaft body is reduced for the material roll to be mounted on or dismounted from the shaft body effortlessly.

Media diverter and valuable media depository
10621808 · 2020-04-14 · ·

A media diverter of a valuable media depository includes two integrated divert gates, each divert gate controlled by a separate stepper motor. The integrated divert gates are enclosed by two pivoting skid plates and two fixed skid plates. The stepper motors selectively position the integrated divert gates to define a media path for a media item from a source depository module to a destination depository module through the media diverter. In an embodiment, each of the two pivoting skid plates are adapted to be unlatched on one end to expose and provided access to different media paths for purposes of servicing media jams within the media diverter.

SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM

A sheet dropping portion abuts on a sheet conveyed in a first conveyance direction by a pair of conveyance rotary members from above to drop the sheet onto a placement portion by pivoting from an upper position to a lower position. The guide portion is arranged above the placement portion and extends toward the placement portion, and guides the sheet toward an abutment portion in a case where the sheet on the placement portion conveyed in a second conveyance direction opposite to the first conveyance direction by a reverse conveyance portion comes into contact with the guide portion. The sheet dropping portion located at the lower position overlaps a part of the guide portion when viewed in a rotational axis direction of the pair of conveyance rotary members.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

An image forming apparatus includes an ejection port, a stacker, a fan, and a duct. From the ejection port, a sheet is ejected to an ejection space in an ejection direction. The stacker stacks the sheet ejected from the ejection port, and the ejection space is disposed above the stacker. The fan is disposed outside the ejection space to suck air. The duct is connected to the fan. The duct has an exhaust port and a guide. The exhaust port is disposed above the ejection port and downstream from the ejection port in the ejection direction to exhaust the air from the exhaust port toward an upper face of the sheet in the ejection space. The guide connects the fan and the exhaust port to guide the air from the fan to the exhaust port.
