A drive transmitting device, which is included in an image forming apparatus, includes a drive source, a drive transmitting body, and a rotary shaft. The drive transmitting body has a press-in target portion. The rotary shaft includes a press-in portion mounted on one end of the rotary shaft in an axial direction of the rotary shaft to be pressed into the press-in target portion of the drive transmitting body. The press-in portion includes a flat face and a plurality of circular arc faces having different distances from an axial center of the rotary shaft and being disposed at a same position as at least a portion of the flat face in the axial direction of the rotary shaft. A radius of curvature of one of the plurality of circular arc faces is greater than a radius of curvature of another of the plurality of circular arc faces.
Winding device attachable to a printing device
A winding device includes a winding shaft that rotates and winds a print medium conveyed from a printing device having a conveyance roller that conveys the print medium, a gear, and a motor driving the conveyance roller and the gear. The winding device also includes a power transfer mechanism to connect to the gear and transfer power to the motor, and a lever disposed between the winding shaft and the conveyance roller in a conveyance path in a configuration in which the winding device is connected to the printing device. The lever may be moved between a first position in which the print medium bends and a second position in which the print medium bends at a shallower angle than at the first position.

A drive mechanism that drives a rotator to rotate includes a main motor, an assist motor, and processing circuitry. The main motor drives the rotator. The assist motor drives the rotator and assists a drive of the rotator by the main motor. The processing circuitry controls a speed of the main motor so that a rotational speed of the rotator is constant, and controls a motor voltage of the assist motor so that the motor voltage of the assist motor changes according to a change in a motor current of the main motor.

A media processing device includes: a hopper for supporting a stack of media units (e.g. cards), the hopper including (i) a gate wall configured to abut leading edges of the media units and (ii) an outlet defined at an end of the gate wall; a pick roller at the outlet for engaging an outer one of the media units in the stack and dispensing the outer media unit from the hopper to a media processing path; the gate wall including a flexible gate at the outlet, the flexible gate configured to deflect toward the media processing path responsive to the outer media unit being driven into the flexible gate by the pick roller, wherein the outer media unit deflects when passing by the flexible gate, permitting the outer media unit to be dispensed from the hopper.
Stalling operation of imaging devices
Examples of stalling of operation of imaging devices are described herein. In an example, the imaging device includes an input roller assembly to transport a medium in the imaging device and a line feed roller assembly disengagably coupled to the input roller assembly to selectively drive the input roller assembly. To stall the operation of the imaging device, a line feed shaft of the line feed roller assembly can be automatically disengaged from the input roller assembly to discontinue advance of the medium along a print path.
