A paper supply apparatus includes: a primary paper supply roller that feeds out and conveys a print medium from a paper tray on which the print medium is placed; resist rollers that a leading end of the print medium abuts to form a flexure in the print medium by temporarily ceasing conveyance, and rotate at a predetermined timing after this flexure is formed, to convey the print medium toward a conveyance mechanism; and a control unit that executes assist control that drives the primary paper supply roller during the time that the print medium is being conveyed by the resist rollers to assist conveyance of the print medium by the resist rollers. The control unit executes the assist control such that the flexure in the print medium remains at a point in time at which the leading end of the print medium reaches the conveyance mechanism.
Image forming apparatus that changes nip pressure based on sheet characteristics
An image forming apparatus includes a plate, a feeding unit that feeds a recording material placed on the plate, an image forming unit that form an image on the fed recording material, a conveying unit to convey a recording material pinched by a nip pressure from a rotating member nip portion, a switching unit to switch the nip pressure, a detecting unit, and a control unit. The detecting unit detects property information regarding the fed recording material. In response to an instruction to form the image on the recording material and before detection of property information completes, the control unit controls to switch the nip pressure based on information regarding image forming on the recording material, and after detection of the property information completes, the control unit controls to switch the nip pressure based on the information regarding the image forming on the recording material and the detected property information.
CONVEYING ROLLERS PAIR AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A conveyance rollers pair includes a first roller and a second roller. The first roller has a uniform outer diameter and rotates around an axis. The second roller conveys a medium held between the first roller and the second roller while rotating around an axis. The second roller includes a shaft part, a plurality of columnar elastic members and a plurality of tube members. The shaft part extends in an axial direction and is supported rotatably around the axis. The elastic members are fixed to an outer circumferential surface of the shaft part at intervals in the axial direction. Each of the tube member has heat-shrinking property and water-repellency, adheres closely to an outer circumferential surface of the elastic member, and has both end portions which are protruded outward from both axial ends of the elastic member and have a diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the elastic member.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes a recording head that performs recording; a feeding roller that feeds out a medium that has been set, a transport roller that transports the medium fed out by the feeding roller toward a facing position facing the recording head; an auxiliary roller that is provided between the feeding roller and the transport roller and that assists in the transport of the medium; a motor that generates a driving force; and a drive train that is configured to transmit the driving force of the motor to the auxiliary roller and the transport roller.
REWINDER FOR THE PRODUCTION OF PAPER LOGS
Rewinder for the production of paper logs adapted to guide and transversely pre-cut a paper web along a predetermined path, adapted to wind a predetermined amount of the paper web on a core in a winding station, and including a threading mechanism for threading the web along said path. The threading mechanism includes a dragging unit provided to engage the web to drag it along the path with a predetermined feed direction and at least one dragging member to engage a respective flap of the web preceding the production of the logs. The dragging unit is located downstream of the winding station and is adapted to release the flap of the web from the dragging member, the release means being arranged downstream of the dragging so as to intercept the flap of the web and disengage it from the dragging while the web is fed.
Sheet conveyance apparatus and image forming apparatus
A sheet conveyance apparatus includes a first conveyance portion configured to convey a sheet, a second conveyance portion configured to convey the sheet, the second conveyance portion including an abutment portion configured to form a loop on the sheet by being abutted against a leading edge of a sheet conveyed by the first conveyance portion, a curved guide portion, which is curved, configured to guide the sheet conveyed by the first conveyance portion to the second conveyance portion, and a rotary member arranged downstream of the first conveyance portion and upstream of the second conveyance portion in a sheet conveyance direction, and configured to be driven to rotate by a surface of the sheet that is guided by the curved guide portion, the surface sliding against the curved guide portion.
Pinch roller mechanism and plotter
A pinch roller mechanism includes a rail, a slider, a roller bracket, a spring, and a pinch roller. The rail extends in a first direction crossing the conveyance direction of a medium while being apart from a medium driving roller configured to convey the medium. The slider is supported by the rail to be movable along the rail. The roller bracket is supported by the slider to be movable with respect to the medium driving roller. The spring is provided between the slider and the roller bracket and biases the roller bracket toward the medium driving roller. The pinch roller is rotatably supported by the roller bracket while setting the axial direction in the first direction.
Conveying apparatus
A conveying apparatus according to an embodiment includes: a feeding-out member movable along a shaft member extending in a first direction and rotatable in a medium conveyance direction; a conveyance member configured to convey the medium from the feeding-out member along a medium conveyance route; a load applying member that applies a load in a direction opposed to the medium conveyance direction; a guide member placed at one end portion of the medium conveyance route in the first direction, and configured to restrict movement of the medium in the first direction; and an inclination member inclined with respect to the first direction and in contact with the medium between the feeding-out member and the conveyance member in the medium conveyance route, thereby making a conveyed distance of the medium shorter at a first side near the guide member than at a second side far from the guide member.
COATING SYSTEM FOR COATING A STRIP AND METHOD FOR COATING A STRIP
A coating system for coating a strip, for example a steel strip, with a material present in the gas phase includes a coating chamber, a device for vapor deposition of the material, and a strip positioning assembly for correcting the strip transport. The strip positioning assembly has a first guide roller and a second guide roller pivoting about a pivot point, which can be effected with an adjustment unit.
