PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus includes a stacking portion on which a print medium printed by a printing unit configured to perform printing is stacked, a discharge unit configured to discharge the print medium printed by the printing unit to the stacking portion, a passage forming portion arranged facing the stacking portion and configured to form a discharge passage of the print medium together with the stacking portion, and an outlet port located in a downstream end of the stacking portion and a downstream end of the passage forming portion in a conveying direction of the print medium. The passage forming portion includes an opening/closing portion which is displaceable between a closed position for forming the discharge passage and an open position for opening the stacking portion.
PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus comprises a sheet eject tray; a movable guide arranged on an upstream side of the sheet eject tray in a direction of conveyance of a sheet and is configured to be able to move to a protruding position and a retracted position; and a driving mechanism configured to cause the movable guide to move to the protruding position when a leading edge of a sheet is conveyed along the movable guide and cause the movable guide to move to the retracted position when a trailing edge of a sheet is conveyed along the movable guide, wherein the protruding position includes a first position at which the movable guide presses a sheet to the sheet eject tray and a second position between the first position and the retracted position.
Image reading apparatus
An image reading apparatus includes a reading device that reads an image on a document that is conveyed through a first conveying path, a switching guide that is supported so as to be able to rotate about a rotation axis, guides the document to a second conveying path by being disposed at a first position, and guides the document to a third conveying path by being disposed at a second position; and a roller that conveys the document to one of the second conveying path and the third conveying path after the reading device reads the document, wherein the second conveying path is arranged above a plane that is formed along the first conveying path, and the rotation axis is arranged below the plane and on an upstream side of a vertical plane that comes in contact with an edge of a downstream side of the roller.
Printing apparatus, method of controlling printing apparatus, and storage medium
A printing apparatus can prevent a print medium from buckling during discharging. In a case in which the print conveyance speed determined by the print mode is higher than or equal to a specified speed, the print medium after printing is conveyed to a discharging tray at the print conveyance speed, and in a case in which the print conveyance speed determined by the print mode is lower than the specified speed, the print medium after printing is conveyed to the discharging tray at the specified speed increased from the print conveyance speed.
FLEXIBLE BAILS ON PRINTERS
In example implementations, a flexible bail of a printing device is provided. The flexible bail comprises a rigid bail coupled to a rotational motor, a flexible portion and a controller. The flexible portion is coupled to an end of the rigid bail. The flexible portion includes a plurality of segments that are unidirectionally flexible. The controller is communicatively coupled to the rotational motor to control movement of the rigid bail.
SHEET FOLDING DEVICE WITH CONVEYING ROLLER CAPABLE OF PARTIALLY ROTATING AROUND FOLDING ROLLER
A sheet folding device includes a folding path, a positioning member, a first folding roller, a second folding roller, a folding blade, a guide path, and a conveying roller. The positioning member is to support a leading edge of a sheet fed along the folding path and align the sheet at an initial folding position. The first folding roller is to engage with the second folding roller to form a folding nip. The folding blade is to move to an insertion position to push the sheet on the folding path into the folding nip. The guide path is provided around the first folding roller to return the sheet that has passed through the folding nip to the folding path. The conveying roller is to partially rotate around the first folding roller, to engage with the first folding roller to form a conveying nip and to feed the sheet along the guide path.
Medium transporting apparatus, medium processing apparatus, and recording system
A medium transporting apparatus including a transport belt that transports a medium while suctioning the medium against a transport surface, a first tray on which the medium transported with the transport belt is mounted, and a transport roller configured to move between a transporting position that nips the medium with the transport belt, and a retracted position that is a position distanced away from the transport belt with respect to the transporting position, in which the transport roller is positioned at the retracted position when a single medium is transported with the transport belt and is positioned at the transporting position when a plurality of mediums in a superposed state are transported with the transport belt.
TRIMMING DEVICE, POST-PROCESSING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS WITH POST-PROCESSING DEVICE
A trimming device includes: a moving unit including a transport unit that transports a booklet which includes one or more sheets and which is folded in half at a center portion of the booklet, with a folded portion of the booklet at a front, a correction unit that corrects a posture of the booklet in response to a leading end of the booklet transported by the transport unit abutting against the correction unit, the correction unit being capable of advancing to an abutting position on a path of the booklet and retracting from the path, and an upper guide unit that extends at least between the transport unit and the correction unit, the upper guide unit that guides an upper surface of the booklet, the moving unit being movable in a transport direction between (i) a predetermined upstream position and (ii) a downstream position downstream of the upstream position in the transport direction; a lower guide unit that guides a lower surface of the booklet transported by the transport unit; and a cutting unit that cuts a downstream fore edge portion of the booklet in the transport direction, the cutting unit being capable of advancing to the path of the booklet and retracting from the path of the booklet. The upper guide unit is configured such that a gap between the upper guide unit and the lower guide unit widens in accordance with a thickness of the booklet to allow the booklet to pass through the gap.
FLAP TO DIRECT MEDIUM
Examples disclosed herein relate to a device including a flap. In examples, the device includes a star wheel to advance a medium along an output media path; and a flap disposed to cover the star wheel in a first position and to be moved by a force applied by a medium being advanced along the output media path to a second position. In examples, the medium is to be directed toward an output tray when the flap is in the second position.
Medium discharge device and recording apparatus
A medium discharge device includes: a discharge unit that discharges a medium; a first medium receiving tray that receives the medium discharged by the discharge unit; and a second medium receiving tray that is provided above the first medium receiving tray in a vertical direction and receives the medium discharged by the discharge unit. The second medium receiving tray is capable of changing a position between an advance position for receiving a medium, which is discharged, by causing at least an upstream zone of the tray including an upstream side end portion in a medium discharge direction to advance to a passing route of the medium from the discharge unit toward the first medium receiving tray and a retraction position to which the upstream zone retracts from the passing route.
