Roller skates

The present invention relates to sports equipment, namely, to roller skates design enabling an athlete to achieve high speed of movement with better comfort and improved motion control, in particular, in case of movement on a lower quality road surfaces. Roller skates consist of two skates—right and left ones, each comprising a spatial rectangular frame with its upper surface adapted to be attached to a frame of the corresponding shoe, either left or right one, and its lower side having two pairs of rollers pivotally attached thereto such that the rollers may rotate being in contact with the roadway and the rollers' axes are parallel to the frame plane, and according to the invention each pair of front and rear rollers of each skate is pivotally attached to the corresponding Z-shaped wheel arm, either front or rear one, which has its central section pivotally attached to the corresponding smaller side of the spatial rectangular frame, and the distance between the axes of the inner rollers of a skate is greater than the distance between the axes of the external rollers. The present invention is aimed to provide such roller skates, which would be more reliable and safe due to increased stability of the skates during movement, also in case of lower quality road surface and during cornering. This objective is achieved by way of creating conditions for uniform distribution of the load arising from the weight of the athlete during movement among all four rollers of each skate, even when moving on a lower quality road surface.

Board apparatus with a pivot wheel for traversing inclines
11033800 · 2021-06-15 · ·

A board apparatus that a user can ride and use to traverse inclines is disclosed. The board apparatus comprises an elongated board with a pivot wheel protruding through the board. A user of the board apparatus can stand on the board with feet in front and behind the pivot wheel, balancing a substantial portion of their weight on the pivot wheel. By adjusting their weight on the pivot wheel, the user is able to control the board's direction of travel. The board apparatus may further comprise a brake apparatus integrated to the pivot wheel that allows the user to maintain control over their speed as the board apparatus gains momentum going down an incline. The board apparatus may further comprise low friction elements at their front and/or rear ends to assist in maintaining momentum if the front or rear end comes into contact with the ground or an obstacle.

A bifurcated truck in a laterally-sliding board wheel assembly enables the freeboard to seamlessly transition from carvingas associated with a traditional skateboardto new omnidirectional motions, in which the board can easy travel forward, backwards, sideways or in any other directional combination. The wheel assembly of this invention employs a bifurcated truck system having two independent suspension arms, both operating independently from one another and from the board's castering wheels. The wheel assemblies are mirrored at each longitudinal end of the board, resulting in the board's ability to carve, slide or skidand easily transition back and forth among each of these modesproviding the rider a sense of stability and freedom commonly associated only with snowboarding.

A self-propelled skateboard with at least one front wheel, a rear wheel, and a board, that is propelled without the rider's foot touching the ground. A driving force is generated the rider's weight is continuously shifted up and down in synchrony with the rocking motion of the eccentrically mounted rear wheel, which causes the board to be repeatedly pushed down and bounced back. Mounting multiple axles and one-way sprag clutch bearings on the rear wheel allows the rider to propel the board up inclined surfaces and to stop his/her motion and rest on the board, yet keep the skateboard continuously running.
