Accommodating device and image forming apparatus with accommodating unit
An accommodating device includes a device body, an accommodating unit that is movable to a supply position where a user is able to supply a medium by being pulled out from the device body in a pulling direction and of which a centroid position is located on one side surface side with respect to a center in an intersecting direction with the pulling direction, a first expanding and contracting member that expands and contracts to connect the accommodating unit to the device body so as to be able to be pulled out and is fixed to one side surface of the accommodating unit in the intersecting direction, and a second expanding and contracting member that expands and contracts to connect the accommodating unit to the device body so as to be able to be pulled out and is fixed at a position higher than the first expanding and contracting member on the other side surface of the accommodating unit in the intersecting direction.
MEDIUM CONVEYING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCORPORATING THE MEDIUM CONVEYING DEVICE
A medium conveying device includes a conveying lower face and a placing table. The conveying lower face has an introduction end and an ejection end. The conveying lower face inclines upward and extends linearly from the introduction end to the ejection end. The placing table is provided pivotally on an introduction end side and displaced between a first position and a second position to place a sheet-like conveyance target medium to be introduced from the introduction end. The placing table forms a linear conveying route when occupying the first position and forms a bent conveying route when occupying the second position.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONTROLLING METHOD
A printing apparatus includes: a printing unit; an operation unit configured to be able to rotate about a rotation axis to a first operation position and a second operation position; a paper discharge tray configured to be able to move in a front-rear direction; a movement unit configured to move the paper discharge tray; a rotating mechanism configured to cause the operation unit from the first operation position to the second operation position in association with movement of the paper discharge tray; and a control unit, in which the paper discharge tray is able to move to an accommodating position, a loading position, and a stand-by position, when a position of the operation unit is the first operation position and the paper discharge tray moves between the accommodating position and the stand-by position, the rotating mechanism causes the operation unit to rotate from the first operation position to the second operation position, and when a position of the paper discharge tray is the accommodating position and the first condition is satisfied, the control unit performs first control in which the paper discharge tray is moved to the stand-by position.
In the printing apparatus, the paper discharge tray, which is able to move in the front-rear direction, is able to move to the accommodating position, the loading position, and the stand-by position. When the position of the operation unit is the first operation position and the paper discharge tray moves between the accommodating position and the stand-by position, the rotating mechanism, which causes the operation unit to rotate from the first operation position to the second operation position in association with movement of the paper discharge tray, causes the operation unit to rotate from the first operation position to the second operation position. When the position of the paper discharge tray is the accommodating position and the first condition is satisfied, the control unit causes the paper discharge tray to move to the stand-by position.
Shared media paths
In some examples, the disclosure describes a device that includes a first media tray positioned at a media input of a pick and separation mechanism, a second media tray positioned at the media input of the pick and separation mechanism, a media scan guide to position a sheet of print media at the media input of the pick and separation mechanism, a shared media path comprising a turn roller to receive the sheet of print media from the pick and separation mechanism from a first direction and provide the sheet of print media to a print zone in a second direction, and an output zone to receive the sheet of print media from the shared media path.
Conveying apparatus and tray unit
A conveying apparatus includes: receiving trays arranged vertically and has a lowest tray and a first receiving tray; a conveying mechanism; a supporter supporting the receiving trays; and a swing mechanism configured to swing the first receiving tray with respect to the supporter to one of a receiving position at which the first receiving tray receives a medium and an upper position. The swing mechanism is configured to: keep the first receiving tray at the upper position when a first external force directed in a direction in which the first receiving tray is moved from the upper position toward the receiving position is not applied to the first receiving tray located at the upper position; and swing the first receiving tray with respect to the supporter toward the receiving position when the first external force is applied to the first receiving tray.
Paper sheet handling apparatus
In a paper sheet handling apparatus, communication part or parts (29) are arranged in a bottom part of an upper assembly (12) and communication part or parts (42) are arranged in an upper part of a lower assembly (14) for exchanging banknotes between the upper assembly (12) and the lower assembly (14). The number of the communication part or parts (29) of the upper assembly (12) and the number of the communication part or parts (42) of the lower assembly (14) are same. The position or positions of the communication part or parts (29) of the upper assembly (12) and the position or positions of the communication part or parts (42) of the lower assembly (14) match when the upper assembly (12) or the lower assembly (14) is reversed.
Assembly for printer having damped media tray
An assembly of a device having a component, the assembly including a damper having a damper gearwheel coupled to a damper member. The damper member has a first condition restricting motion of the component of the device to a first rate in a first direction and a second condition restricting motion of the component of the device to a second rate in the first direction slower than the first rate. The damper gearwheel is rotationally fixed relative to the damper member when the damper is in the first condition. The damper gearwheel is rotatable relative to the damper member when the damper is in the second condition.
Sheet stacking device and image forming apparatus including the same
In a sheet stacking device, a first sheet storage portion and a second sheet storage portion are arranged in alignment in a width direction of a housing, and supported by the housing so as to move in a front-rear direction perpendicular to the width direction. Biasing members are respectively provided on opposite side surfaces of the first and second sheet storage portions, the opposite side surfaces being adjacent and face each other in the width direction. In a first state where the first and second sheet storage portions are moved frontward from the housing, the biasing members abut on each other and bias the first and second sheet storage portions in directions in which the first and second sheet storage portions separate from each other along the width direction.
TRAY DRAWER AND MULTI-FUNCTION PRINTER USING THE SAME
A tray drawer and a multi-function printer using the same are provided. The drawer includes a tray body, a handle and an elastic element. The handle is connected to the tray body and includes a handle portion and a first engagement portion. The first engagement portion is connected to the handle portion, wherein when the tray body is at a lock state, the first engagement projects from a first position-limit portion. The elastic element connects the first engagement portion to the tray body. There is no relative motion between the first engagement portion and the handle portion.
Method and apparatus for handling value documents
Input stacks of value documents are inserted in an input pocket of the value document processing apparatus, transported through the apparatus, checked and sorted into different deposit pockets of the value document processing apparatus, wherein reject value documents are deposited separately from the valid value documents. The reject value documents are automatically transported back to the input pocket with the aid of a reject transport device, to check the reject value documents again with the same value document processing apparatus (rerun). The reject transport device has several reject transport units, in which the reject value documents from the different input stacks are deposited separately from each other, and a reader for reading in the machine-readable identifier of the respective reject transport unit used for assigning the reject value documents of the respective reject transport unit to the input stack to which these reject value documents belong.
