A paper sheet processing apparatus includes a processing tray, a feed member, a drive unit, a detection unit, and a control unit. The processing tray receives and stacks a plurality of paper sheets. The feed member faces the processing tray and includes a paddle that is elastically deformed by being pressed against the paper sheets during rotation. The drive unit rotates the feed member. The detection unit detects a leading end of the paper sheet being fed toward the alignment surface by the paddle. The control unit controls the drive unit based on a detection result during a period from if the detection unit detects the leading end of the paper sheet to if the paddle separates from the paper sheet and controls the rotation of the feed member so that the leading end of the paper sheet scraped by the paddle is aligned with the alignment surface.

Modular material tracking system and method
A modular material tracking system is provided for tracking material stored on and drawn from a reel using a modular system. The modular material tracking system may include a detection element, digital logic components, location receiver, enclosure, analytic components, interface component, sensor module, and plate module. One or more sensors relative to the reel may detect a position indicative of forward or reverse reel rotation. A processor may analyze signals to count rotations of the reel, which is savable in memory. A battery may provide power. The system may also record the time and location associated with rotations. A method for tracking material stored on and drawn from a reel using a modular material tracking system is also provided.

The invention relates to a device (100) for transporting and separating blanks (1010) from a material web (1000), comprising a vacuum cylinder (8) for transporting the blanks (1010), a vacuum transport cylinder (7) for further transporting the blanks (1010), and a control unit (9). According to the invention, the vacuum cylinder (8) has a pivotable vacuum segment (82) and a rotary actuator (85) is provided for rotating the vacuum segment during operation. This makes it possible to reduce the effective vacuum region on a surface of the vacuum cylinder (8). The invention also relates to a method for transporting and separating blanks from a material web. A device and method enable a gentler and more accurate transfer of blanks from a vacuum cylinder to a vacuum transport cylinder.

The present disclosure relates to the technical field of double-sheet detection, and discloses a double-sheet detection device. The double-sheet detection device includes a paper feeding machine body, wherein a main body plate is arranged on an outer side of the paper feeding machine body; a detection mechanism is arranged on an inner side of the main body plate; the paper feeding machine body is provided with a storage assembly; the detection mechanism includes a U-shaped plate; and the U-shaped plate is arranged on the inner side of the main body plate. When a detection wheel rolls on the paper feeding machine body, after a piece of paper passes, a moving distance of the detection wheel on the paper is matched with a thickness of the paper, so as to determine the number of pieces of paper and achieve the purpose of double-sheet detection.
