An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus and a post-processing device. The image forming apparatus includes a scanner reading image data from a sheet, an image forming part forming an image on the sheet, and a sheet ejecting part ejecting the sheet after forming the image. The post-processing device includes a post-processing conveying path, and a stapling part. The post-processing conveying path introduces the sheet from the sheet ejecting part and conveys the sheet. The stapling part collects sheets conveyed on the post-processing conveying path for each predetermined number of sheets and executes staple processing to the sheets. The image forming apparatus or the post-processing device includes a size deciding part deciding a sheet size based on the image data. The post-processing device includes a staple controlling part determining a binding position for the staple processing on the basis of the sheet size.

Printing apparatus and control method for deleting an area of image data before printing and binding

Even when a binding process for binding a plurality of sheets without using a staple is performed after performing printing on both faces of the sheets, the binding process can be performed so that the bound sheets are not easily separated. A control method for controlling a printing apparatus, comprises: performing a binding process for binding, without using a staple, a sheet on which an image is printed based on image data; specifying an area where the binding process is to be performed, the area being included in the image data; deleting image data of the specified area; and printing the image on the sheet based on the image data on which deleting is performed.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR STACKING TWO-DIMENSIONAL MATERIAL SHEETS, AND PRINTINGAND/OR COATING MACHINE

Two-dimensional material sheets are stacked in a stacking device. One of a printing machine and a coating machine has at least one stacking unit having a stacking space. Material sheets are conveyed, via the stacking space of the stacking unit, comprised by the stacking device, and are deposited into a stack on top of one another on a loading aid. For two different production runs, the stacks are formed on the loading aid with the four corners of their areas in mutually different relative orientations with respect to the loading aid, which is arranged, in each case, in the stacking space of the stacking unit and is larger-format compared with the material sheets to be deposited in each case. For the two production runs, in each case, one loading aid of the same format is positioned on different positions, as seen in projection in the horizontal, in the stacking space of the stacking unit.

Media output system

A printing device includes, in one example, a media output system including a mezzanine level including a plurality of media support members, the mezzanine level being intermediate to a floor level and a media output level; wherein the plurality of media support members move orthogonally relative to a print media path so that a number of finishing processes may be performed on print media accumulated on the number of media support members.

MEDIUM CUTTING DEVICE, MEDIUM FEEDING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

A medium cutting device includes first and second conveying sections and a cutting section. The first conveying section conveys a continuous medium having a perforation that extends in a first direction. The first conveying section conveys the continuous medium in a second direction intersecting the first direction. The second conveying section is spaced from the first conveying section in the second direction, and conveys the continuous medium in the second direction. The cutting section includes a pressing member and a supporting member. The pressing member is movable in the first direction in a gap between the first and second conveying sections. The supporting member movably supports the pressing member in the second direction. The cutting section causes the pressing member to press the continuous medium while causing the pressing member to move in the first direction, thereby cutting the continuous medium at the perforation.

Part feeding device and part mounting apparatus

A tape feeder (part feeding device) includes a main body including a transporting passage for guiding a part feeding tape to a part removing position, a conveyor for positioning a storage of the part feeding tape which is inserted to the transporting passage to the part removing position, and a part detector for detecting the part stored in the storage in the transporting passage at the upstream side of the part removing position. The transporting passage includes a travelling surface for supporting the part feeding tape from underneath, a pair of side guides for guiding two side surfaces of the part feeding tape, and a squeezed portion in which a distance between the pair of side guides is gradually reduced from the upstream side of the part detector toward a part detecting position of the part detector.
