A sheet detection device includes: a magnetic sensing element disposed on a sheet guide, wherein the sheet guide brings the magnetic sensing element to move to a first position or a second position; a first magnetic element disposed on a sheet tray corresponding to the first position; a second magnetic element disposed on the sheet tray corresponding to the second position and in spaced with the first magnetic element; a processing element electrically connected with the magnetic sensing element. When the magnetic sensing element outputs a first voltage signal, the processing element determines the sheet guide is located at the first position according to the first voltage signal. When the magnetic sensing element outputs a second voltage signal, the processing element determines the sheet guide is located at the second position according to the second voltage signal. The first voltage signal is different from the second voltage signal.

LOTTERY TICKET VENDING MACHINE

A bill processing apparatus which is capable of reliably supplying information on a bill to the bill housing body side. The paper sheet processing apparatus has a bill housing part being capable of housing a bill inserted from a bill insertion slot, and also a reader/writer which wirelessly transmits information on the bill inserted from the bill insertion slot. The bill housing part has a coil antenna which wirelessly receives the information transmitted from the reader/writer, and a storage part which stores the information on the bill received from the coil antenna.

Steel sheet shape control method and steel sheet shape control apparatus

A steel sheet shape control method includes, (A) setting a target correction shape of the steel sheet at a position of an electromagnet to a curved shape, (B) measuring a steel sheet shape when electromagnetic correction is performed, (C) calculating the steel sheet shape in a nozzle position based on the steel sheet shape, (D) repeating (B) and (C) by resetting the target correction shape to a curved shape having a smaller amount of warp, (E) when the amount of warp of the steel sheet shape at the position of the nozzle is less than the upper limit value, (F) calculating vibration of the steel sheet at the position of the nozzle, and (G) adjusting a control gain of the electromagnet until amplitude of vibration is less than a second upper limit value when the amplitude of the vibration is equal to or more than the second upper limit value.

Sheet conveying device, and image forming apparatus including the sheet conveying device

A sheet conveying device includes a conveying roller, a drive motor, a second detection portion, and a control portion. The control portion includes a first drive control portion, a rotation amount calculation portion, and a second drive control portion. When a front end of a sheet member is detected by the second detection portion, the first drive control portion sets driving of the drive motor in a stopped state before the sheet makes contact with the conveying roller. Rotation amount calculation portion performs a process of calculating a rotation amount of the conveying roller after the sheet member conveyed from upstream in the conveying direction of the sheet member makes contact with the conveying roller. Second drive control portion starts driving of the drive motor at a timing in accordance with the rotation amount of the conveying roller calculated by the rotation amount calculation portion.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MEASURING PRIMER PARAMETERS IN INKJET PRINTERS

An inkjet printer includes a primer applicator to apply primer to media before the media is printed and includes a plurality of eddy current sensors to identify a thickness of the primer on the media. The identified thickness is compared to a range of acceptable primer thicknesses. One end of the range of acceptable thicknesses corresponds to a thickness that is too thin to enable deinking of the printed media and the other end of the range of acceptable thicknesses corresponds to a thickness that is too thick to enable sufficient drying to fix the ink image to the media. In one embodiment, the primer is applied using a printhead that eject drops of primer onto the media.
