MEDIUM TRANSPORTING DEVICE, IMAGE READING APPARATUS, AND TRANSPORTING CONTROL METHOD
The medium transporting device is arranged so as to face the feeder for feeding the medium in the transporting direction and the surface of the medium transported in the transporting direction, and detects the motion of the medium in the two-dimensional coordinate system including the first axis and the second axis. The two-dimensional sensor is provided in a state in which the first axis and the second axis are inclined with respect to the transporting direction.
LATERAL ADJUSTMENT OF PRINT SUBSTRATE BASED ON A CAMERA IMAGE
A printing device is provided comprising a camera to capture an image of at least a portion of a print substrate; a controller to determine a location of a portion of a side edge of the print substrate from the image to determine a distance of the print substrate from a predetermined location; and an adjustment apparatus to adjust the entire substrate laterally, relative to the direction of transport of the print substrate, based on the determined location.
ROBOT MANIPULATOR FOR HANDLING OBJECTS
A robotic manipulator for handling an object is provided. The robotic manipulator includes a first robotic arm and a first end effector coupled to the first robotic arm. A movement of the first robotic arm orients the first end effector with respect to the object. The robotic manipulator includes a housing, a first conveyor operably coupled to the housing, a second conveyor operably coupled to the housing at an angle with respect to the first conveyor, and a first actuation mechanism. The first and second conveyors are arranged to form a top surface and the bottom surface respectively of a spatula-shaped base. The first actuation mechanism operates the first and second conveyors in one of a first direction and a second direction to manipulate the object. The operation of the first conveyor is independent of the operation of the second conveyor.
HEATING DEVICE, AND BATTERY MANUFACTURING APPARATUS AND METHOD
The present application relates to a heating device, and a battery manufacturing apparatus and method, and relates to the technical field of battery manufacturing. The heating device is configured to heat a material strip upstream of a first station, and may include: a support; a first heater movably mounted to the support; and a first driver mounted to the support and configured to drive the first heater to move in a feeding direction of the material strip, such that the first heater is movable between a first position close to the first station and a second position away from the first station.
APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING ELECTRODE PLATE
An apparatus for manufacturing an electrode plate, includes an unwinder on which an electrode reel is installed; a meandering corrector correcting meandering of an electrode sheet unwound from the electrode reel; a press puncher disposed at a rear end of the meandering corrector; a cutter disposed at a rear end of the press puncher; a detector disposed between the press puncher and the cutter to acquire an image of the electrode sheet; and a controller connected to the detector and the meandering corrector.
MANAGEMENT DEVICE, MANAGEMENT METHOD, AND CORRESPONDENCE DATA GENERATING METHOD
A management device that manages a unit including a drum and a long object wound around the drum, the management device includes: a receiver that receives, from a user terminal, a captured image obtained by capturing an image of the unit; and a controller that accesses correspondence data obtained by associating each of image capture results, obtained by successively capturing images of the unit while winding the long object around the drum, with a corresponding winding amount of the long object wound around the drum at a time when the each of the image capture results was obtained. The controller determines a remaining amount of the long object based on the captured image and the correspondence data.
Conveying apparatus with conveyance surface facing downward
A conveying apparatus includes a conveyor and a conveyed object receptor. The conveyor includes a conveyance surface facing downward and configured to convey a conveyed object having a sheet-like shape. The conveyed object receptor is arranged below the conveyor and configured to receive the conveyed object having fallen from the conveyor.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING THE FEED OF SEMIFINISHED PRODUCTS IN A TYRE BUILDING PROCESS
Method for controlling the feed of semifinished products in a tyre building process, said method comprising: feeding a semifinished product (10) into a building station (30) adapted to build, through said semi-finished product (10), a structural component of a tyre; performing, in an acquisition zone (AZ), a verification to verify the presence of at least one defect of said semifinished product (10); generating a notification signal (NS) as a function of said verification; activating, as a function of said notification signal (NS), a discard device (60), configured for discarding at least one portion of said semifinished product (10) comprising said at least one defect.
GARMENT GRIPPER
A garment feeder for feeding a garment for printing, comprises a loading position for a pallet and robotic grippers movable across the loading position to grip a garment from a first side of the loading position and pull the garment in a garment pull direction to a second side of the loading position to load the garment onto the pallet in the loading position. The garment being loaded slips across the loading position on the first side of the pallet perpendicular to the garment pull direction, and one or more sensors detect widthwise edges of the garment, now being pulled onto the pallet by the grippers. The positions of the edges can be used to determine if the garment is being pulled symmetrically onto the pallet. If not then the garment is adjusted to achieve correct positioning for printing.
MAIL PROCESSING SYSTEM WITH INCREASED FIRST AND SECOND PASS SORTING SPEED
A mail processing system utilizes a conveyor to shingle or de-shingle mailpieces as they move through the processing system and utilizes belts to move the mailpieces. A first shingling conveyor moves a first mailpiece to overlap with a second mailpiece to create shingled mailpieces. A second shingling conveyor moves a first mailpiece away from a second mailpiece to de-shingle them to create singulated mailpieces. A camera takes images of the mailpieces in the conveyor and image analysis software is used to determine dimensional aspects of the mailpieces that are used to control the belt speeds to move mailpieces with respect to each other. A mail processing system may include a mail processing station that scans addresses, applies postage and/or weighs the mailpieces. Mail may be de-shingled prior to being weighed and then re-shingled for subsequent processing, or mail may be shingled prior to passing through a scale if weighing is not necessary.
