Feeding apparatus
A feeding apparatus includes: a loading unit configured to load a plurality of sheet-like media in a stacked state; a feeding roller configured to feed the media by rotating while abutting against the media loaded on the loading unit; an arm configured to rotatably support the feeding roller and configured to be swingable about a support shaft; at least one actuator supported by the arm to be swingable about a fulcrum provided between the support shaft and a leading end of the arm, the arm being on the same side as the feeding roller with respect to the support shaft and being farthest away from the support shaft; and at least one sensor configured to output a signal which differentiates a first posture of the at least one actuator with respect to the arm, from a second posture different from the first posture.
SHEET CONVEYING APPARATUS, IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
Disclosed is a sheet conveying apparatus including an opening and closing member rotatable; a rotating member provided on the opening and closing member and which is rotatable by a sheet; and an assist member which is provided on the opening and closing member, and is at a first position when the opening and closing member is at the closed position, and is at a second position when the opening and closing member is at the open position, wherein the assist member urges the rotating member toward the opening and closing member side when the assist member is at the second position.
Conveying apparatus
A conveying apparatus includes: a rotation shaft; a conveying roller secured to the rotation shaft; a driven roller that cooperates with the conveying roller to convey a sheet at a nip position; a supporter supporting the rotation shaft rotatably; and a first guide and a second guide opposed to each other and defining a conveyance path guiding the sheet toward the nip position. The first guide and the second guide respectively have first and second guide surfaces defining the conveyance path. The first guide and the second guide respectively have first and second engaging portions engaged with the rotation shaft at positions different from a position of the supporter in the axial direction of the rotation shaft.
SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCORPORATING THE SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE
A sheet conveying device, which is included in an image forming apparatus, includes a plurality of position detectors, a leading end detector, and a position adjuster. The plurality of position detectors is configured to detect a position of a sheet. The leading end detector is configured to detect a leading end of the sheet. The position adjuster is configured to, based on a detection result obtained by the plurality of position detectors, rotate in a rotation direction of the sheet within a plane of conveyance of the sheet to change the position of the sheet the position adjuster grips the sheet under conveyance to cause the leading end detector to rotate with the position adjuster in the rotation direction of the sheet within the plane of conveyance of the sheet.
RAPID REACTION HOOD SYSTEM
A rapid reaction hood system includes at least one linear conveyor and a hood attached to the at least one conveyor and including a slot configured to collect dust emissions. The rapid reaction hood system also includes at least one proximity sensor positioned on the hood and configured to detect a distance from the hood to a roll of material. The conveyor is configured to move the hood linearly in response to a detection by the at least one proximity sensor.
Mark detection method using printing apparatus and printing apparatus
A printing apparatus includes a mark sensor, a moving section, a web edge sensor, and a printer control section. The moving section can move the mark sensor in a direction intersecting a transport direction of a sheet, or in a width direction. The web edge sensor can detect a location of an edge of the sheet. The printer control section controls the moving section to compensate for a location of the mark sensor, on the basis of a detection result from the web edge sensor which indicates the location of the edge of the sheet.
Sheet binding processing apparatus, sheet post-processing apparatus having the sheet binding processing apparatus, and image forming system having the sheet post-processing apparatus
A sheet binding processing apparatus including a crimp binding member that performs binding processing on a predetermined region of a sheet by sandwiching and pressing the sheet between an upper tooth and a lower tooth meshing with each other, and a detection unit that detects a state of the predetermined region of the sheet to be bound by the crimp binding member. If the detection unit detects that the predetermined region is not capable of binding, the binding processing on the predetermined region is prohibited.
SHEET DISCHARGING APPARATUS, SHEET FEEDING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet discharging apparatus includes a first detecting portion provided in an apparatus body and configured to detect a move of a movable member in a state where a movable tray is at an upper limit position in a moving direction of the movable tray, wherein a detection result of the first detecting portion changes depending on a position of the movable tray in the moving direction. In addition, a second detecting portion detects the position of the movable tray in the moving direction, and a control portion, in a case where the second detecting portion detects that the movable tray is at the upper limit position, determines whether a sheet is present on the movable tray based on the detection result of the first detecting portion. When the second detecting portion does not detect that the movable tray is at the upper limit position, the control portion determines that a sheet is present on the movable tray regardless of the detection result of the first detecting portion.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
The detection unit includes a first contact member, which comes into contact with a first surface of a recording material and a second contact member, which comes into contact with a second surface of the recording material, the first contact member and the second contact member being disposed so as to oppose each other thus being capable of nipping the recording material, and the first contact member and the second contact member are movable in a direction in which the first contact member and the second contact member nip the recording material, and is rotatable about an axis line extending in a predetermined direction, the predetermined direction being orthogonal to the direction in which the first contact member and the second contact member are movable and being orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the recording material.
IMAGE-FORMING APPARATUS AND RECORDING MATERIAL IDENTIFICATION UNIT
A detection unit includes a first contact member that comes into contact with a surface of a recording material and a second contact member that comes into contact with the other surface of the recording material, and the first contact member and the second contact member face each other and are capable of nipping the recording material. The first contact member and the second contact member are movable in a direction in which the first contact member and the second contact member nip the recording material. The first contact member and the second contact member are rotatable about an axial line that extends in a direction in which the recording material is conveyed.
