Provided is a heeling apparatus. The heeling apparatus includes a sole including a forefoot portion and a heel portion. The heel portion has an opening formed therein. In one embodiment, the sole includes a removable portion. The heeling apparatus further includes a wheel assembly including wheel rotably mounted to an axle and a mounting structure, wherein the wheel extends through the opening in the heel portion.

A spring lock for a skate wheel includes a housing including opposite first and second holes, and a third hole; a pin through the first and second holes and including first and second grooves; a button on the third hole; a back plate on a back of the housing; a first biasing member secured to the back plate; a stop member secured to the first groove; a sliding member having one end urging against the first biasing member and the other end contacting the button to slidably dispose on the second groove, the sliding member including small and large holes; and a second biasing member on the pin and having one end urging against an inner surface of the housing and the other end urging against the stop member. In a locked state, the pin extends into an elongated hole of between two spokes of the wheel.

In a locked state, the pin extends into an elongated hole of between two spokes of the wheel.

A wearable device configured to selectively provide roller transportation, the wearable device including a shoe, a plurality of wheel assemblies, each wheel assembly being configured to selectively roll relative to a ground surface about an associated axis of rotation, and a frame connected between the wheel assemblies, the frame comprising a trunk and a plurality of branches extending from the trunk, each of the branches being configured for connection to at least one of the plurality of wheel assemblies, wherein at least a portion of the shoe is located vertically higher than at least a portion of the frame when at least one of the wheel assemblies is in contact with the ground surface and the at least one of the wheel assemblies is positioned to selectively roll relative to the ground surface.

A device configured for use within a dedicated footwear is provided comprising a wheel housing, a removable wheel cover, and a deployable wheel member for multi-dimensional functionality of the footwear. The wheel housing may reside within the heel portion of the sole of the footwear. The removable wheel cover may cover the wheel housing within the heel portion of the dedicated footwear, so that a user may optionally cover the wheel housing when wearing the footwear without the wheel functionality. In addition, the removable wheel cover may optionally be removed from the wheel housing, so that the user may insert the deployable wheel member within the wheel housing, so that the dedicated footwear provides rolling functionality. A user may easily remove the deployable wheel member from the wheel housing to cover the wheel housing with the removable wheel cover and return the footwear to traditional use without the rolling functionality.

A device configured for use within a dedicated footwear is provided comprising a wheel housing, a removable wheel cover, and a deployable wheel member for multi-dimensional functionality of the footwear. The wheel housing may reside within the heel portion of the sole of the footwear. The removable wheel cover may cover the wheel housing within the heel portion of the dedicated footwear, so that a user may optionally cover the wheel housing when wearing the footwear without the wheel functionality. A modular, multi-part roller skate is provided. The multi-part roller skate includes a roller skate body, a front wheel assembly, a rear wheel assembly, a support surface for supporting a footwear of a user, and at least one securing element for securing the footwear to the support surface. The multi-part roller skate is configurable as a modular roller skate with a removable pair of rear wheels, an interchangeable modular roller skate and ice skate, and an interchangeable modular roller skate and cross-country ski/snowshoe. In some embodiments, the multi-part roller skate can also be configured as a length-adjustable skate with a length adjustable skate body that includes separate front and rear foot support structures.
