GLASS ROLL, GLASS ROLL MANUFACTURING METHOD, AND QUALITY EVALUATION METHOD
A glass roll of band-shaped glass film is free of skew and single slack when a roll-to-roll mode is used. The band-shaped glass film is wound into a roll shape and has creases formed thereon. The band-shaped glass film includes an effective section with two side edges in a width direction extending parallel to each other, and leading and trailing end portions extending parallel to the width direction. When a length from the leading end portion to the trailing end portion along a surface of the effective section is measured along each of a first position along one side edge and a second position along another side edge, a difference between the first and second measurement lengths is 400 ppm or less of a longer measurement length of the first and second measurement lengths.
PAPER SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS
A paper sheet S is intermittently transported by a transport mechanism 6 and each processing unit 7, 8 operates while the transport mechanism pauses the transport operation. An information acquisition unit 9 obtains paper information from the paper sheet. A control unit 10 stores the paper information of the paper sheet to be processed for each processing unit, updates the data of the memory in a manner such that the paper information of the paper sheet associated with the previous processing unit is associated with the next processing unit every time the transport mechanism transports, and configures the settings of each processing unit for the next processing operation based on the paper information every time the processing operation of the processing unit is completed.
CONVEYOR
A conveyor conveys a sheet along a conveyance path provided with an ultrasonic sensor, and includes: an updating member that successively updates a parameter indicating aged deterioration of the conveyor; a searcher that searches a look-up table storing pieces of noise data of noises predicted to be superimposed on a detection signal of the ultrasonic sensor in accordance with a degree of the aged deterioration, and obtains a piece of noise data corresponding to a current parameter value of the conveyor; and a signal processor that uses, for signal processing, a remaining portion of the detection signal of the ultrasonic sensor excluding a portion corresponding to the piece of noise data obtained by the searcher.
Sheet collection device, sheet collection system, sheet collection method
A sheet collection device includes a discrimination portion that discriminates the type of sheet, a plurality of containers that store sheets, a transport portion that transports the sheets to any one container from among the plurality of containers based on the discrimination result by the discrimination portion, an accumulation portion that accumulates progress information of a storage amount of sheets in the container, and a notification portion that predicts a time at which the storage amount of the sheets that are stored in the containers based on the progress information reaches a first predetermined amount and notifies the predicted time to a terminal device.
Multifeed detection device and image reading apparatus
A multifeed detection device that detects multifeed by using an ultrasonic wave includes an ultrasonic emitting unit and an ultrasonic receiving unit arranged to oppose each other with a medium transport path interposed therebetween; judges occurrence of multifeed of media based on a detection intensity of an ultrasonic wave received by the ultrasonic receiving unit, and a multifeed threshold for judging multifeed of media; and acquires first information that is information relating to adjustment for the multifeed threshold, and second information for specifying that the first information is the information relating to the adjustment for the multifeed threshold, from a calibration sheet holding the first information and the second information.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS FORMING IMAGE ON SHEET ACCORDING TO SHEET TYPE
An image forming apparatus for a first purpose forms an image on a sheet, according to a sheet type. The image forming apparatus for the first purpose includes a conversion device and an image forming device. The conversion device converts second information for defining the sheet type in association with another image forming apparatus for a second purpose different from the first purpose, into third information of a same format as the first information for defining the sheet type in association with the image forming apparatus for the first purpose. The image forming device forms an image on the sheet P according to the third information, when the sheet P, the sheet type of which has been defined by the second information, is designated. The first information and the third information each define the sheet type more detailedly than the second information.
MEDIUM CONVEYING APPARATUS TO DETECT PREDETERMINED MEDIUM BASED ON LIFT OF MEDIUM
A medium conveying apparatus includes a pick roller feeding a medium, a separation roller located on a downstream side of the pick roller, a conveyance roller located on a downstream side of the separation roller, a medium sensor being located on a downstream side of the separation roller and detecting the medium, a lift sensor detecting a lift of the medium on an upstream side of the conveyance roller, a passing sensor being located on an upstream side of the separation roller and detecting passing of the medium, and a processor to determine that the medium is a predetermined medium when a lift of the medium and passing of the medium are detected in a predetermined period after the medium is detected, and execute abnormality control when the medium is determined to be the predetermined medium.
Apparatus and method for tracking defects in sheet materials
An apparatus and method for tracking defects in sheet materials. The abstract of the disclosure is submitted herewith as required by 37 C.F.R. 1.72(b). As stated in 37 C.F.R. 1.72(b): A brief abstract of the technical disclosure in the specification must commence on a separate sheet, preferably following the claims, under the heading Abstract of the Disclosure. The purpose of the abstract is to enable the Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and gist of the technical disclosure. The abstract shall not be used for interpreting the scope of the claims. Therefore, any statements made relating to the abstract are not intended to limit the claims in any manner and should not be interpreted as limiting the claims in any manner.
PAPER CONVEYANCE DEVICE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING PAPER CONVEYANCE DEVICE
A paper conveyance device includes a paper feed unit, a conveyance rotator, a conveyance guide, a multi-feed detection unit, and a control unit. The control unit causes an ultrasonic sensor to transmit an ultrasonic wave in a detection section. The control unit sets a detection execution section and a detection skip section in the detection section. The control unit does not determine whether multi-feed has occurred in the detection skip section. The control unit sets the detection skip section based on a time point at which vibration is applied to conveyed paper.
