Extensible leash for dogs and other pets
An extensible leash for pets comprises a shell (1, 101) provided with a handle (1, 102), a cable-winding roll (3, 103) provided with a cable (6, 22) with an end integral with the roll (3, 103) and a free end external to the shell (1, 101). The roll (3, 103) is rotatable around a rotation axis as a result of the action of a spiral-shaped spring (5, 105) Means for locking/unlocking the roll are provided with a control mechanism operated by a first lever (2, 106) to be operated by the palm of the hand to move from an unlocking position to a locking position of the roll (3, 103). The first lever (2, 106) is associated with a bi-stable locking device (11, 107) adapted to hold the first lever locked in the two positions and to allow it to move from the locking position to the unlocking position.
FASTENING DEVICE
The original abstract is amended to “A fastening device includes a case unit, a knob, an engaging unit and a spool. The case unit has an axial direction and includes a plurality of mounting teeth. The knob covers on the case unit along the axial direction. The engaging unit is coupled to the knob and includes an engaging portion. The spool is configured for a lace to wind therearound. The engaging unit is driven by the knob to switch between a first position and a second position along the axial direction. When the engaging unit is in the first position, the engaging unit prohibits the spool from releasing the lace. When the engaging unit is in the second position, the engaging portion is engaged with at least one of the mounting teeth, and the engaging unit does not prohibit the spool from releasing the lace. Therefore, the reliability can be improved.”.
FASTENING DEVICE
A fastening device including a case unit, a spool, a driving unit, a knob and a connecting unit is provided. The case unit has a radial direction and an axial direction and includes an annular wall. The annular wall surrounds an inner space. The spool is within the inner space and includes an axial space including a large-diameter segment and a small-diameter segment, and the small-diameter segment is connected to the large-diameter segment along the axial direction. The driving unit is disposed above the spool along the axial direction, and the driving unit selectively prohibits the spool from rotating in a loosening direction. The knob is disposed above the driving unit along the axial direction, and the knob is coupled to the driving unit. The connecting unit is connected to the knob, and the connecting unit is disposed within the axial space and limited within the large-diameter segment.
Retractable leash device and method therefor
A retractable leash device for animal control is disclosed, having a multitude of settable maximum leash line extensions providing leash line retraction at each set extension length. The device includes a leash line connectable to an animal, a housing having an axle and an outlet aperture, a reel having a hub and mounted on the axle, a reel biasing spring to retract the leash line, a maximum extension brake having an arresting member and a brake control. The leash line is wound on the reel and exits the housing through the aperture. The arresting member crosses the leash line thereinbetween the hub and the aperture. Upon engagement of the brake therewith the reel and extension of the leash line, an eventual interaction of the arresting member therewith the leash line prevents further extension of the leash line. The brake control engages and disengages the brake with respect to the reel.
Manual Reel Retractable Leash Apparatus
A manual reel retractable leash apparatus for manually retracting a leash to control a dog includes a retractable leash spool coupled within a leash body. A leash is windingly coupled around the leash spool and extends through a leash aperture of the leash body. A crank housing is coupled to the leash body and a drive mechanism is coupled within crank housing. The drive mechanism is in operational communication with the leash spool and an outer face of the crank housing. A crank handle is coupled to the outer face to provide a place for a user to rotate the crank housing to power the drive mechanism and retract the leash.
LINE HANDLING DEVICE FOR LETTING OUT, WINDING UP, AND LOCKING A LINE
A line-handling device is for letting out, winding up and locking a line. The line-handling device has: a first handle; a substantially flat reel which is rotatable relative to the first handle; a line-guiding part which is fixed relative to the first handle; a locking mechanism for locking the reel in a non-rotatable position; and an attachment element for a tautening device, the reel being displaceable relative to the first handle parallel to the rotational axis of the reel. A line-handling system is for suspending a line between two anchoring points and a method is for suspending a line between two anchoring points.
HOLDER FOR STRAPS HAVING HOOKS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING
A holder for straps includes a base including a body portion and a tail portion, and a waist where the body portion and the tail portion join. The base defines first and second horizontally opposed recesses and a wrap area disposed therebetween. First embodiments of the holder include pegs disposed on opposing sides of the wrap area. The pegs can engage with S-hooks, D rings, snap hooks, carabiners and the like. Second embodiments of the holder include a base defining slots from edges of the body portion and disposed on opposing sides of the wrap area. The slots can engage with J-hooks, T-hooks, U-hooks, and the like. After securing the hook thereof, each strap is wrapped around the base through first and second recesses. Straps can be secured by disposing a loop such as a loop of bungee cord or a tie about the waist and tightening the cord or tie.
RETRACTABLE REEL FOR A TIGER TAIL
An illustrated view of an exemplary retractable rope reel device for protecting a tiger tail or jetter hose of a jet truck and trailer mounted unit. The retractable rope reel device keeps the tiger tail in place and stops the jetter hose from dragging or scraping along an edge of a pipe or manhole and causing replacement or leaking of the jetter hose. The retractable rope reel device is useful for protecting users working on the jet truck and trailer from being in the road when retrieving a rope from a side cargo area of the jet truck and trailer. Further, the retractable rope reel device is useful for saving time and energy of the users from retrieving and returning the rope from the jet truck and trailer thus being more efficient and safer in the use of time and costs. The device has a canister with a retractable reel and a trigger on an inside of the canister. The trigger allows retraction of a rope that is coupled to the reel. The rope is coupled to a tiger tail for keeping the tiger tail securely in a desired position. The device has a bracket for attaching the device to a bumper and then can be removed or kept for future use.
Automatic diving tending system
The automatic diving tending system (ADTS) includes a buoyant sealed torsional apparatus having a plate with a perimeter seal to which is affixed a cover with a perimeter flange forming a dry buoyant cavity. On the plate is mounted a bridge supporting a drive shaft, a locking mechanism, a constant torque spring motor, and an overdrive transmission linkage. A tether spool apparatus is mounted on the exterior bottom side of the plate. It includes a frame with a guide, a spool, and coaxial connecting structure that connects to the drive shaft. A line wound on the spool that is pulled off tightens the spring motor, enabling the full length of the line to be rewound back onto the spool and to be stopped at any time by a diver.
TWO-HANDED RETRACTABLE DOG LEASH
A two-handed retractable dog leash that provides two gripping handles integrated into a retractable leash. This eliminates problems handling large, strong and aggressive dogs by using the strength of both of the user's arms. The length of the handle allows enhanced control of the lease position to avoid becoming wrapped, by the dog, with the leash.
