Sheet supply apparatus
A sheet supply apparatus detachably attached to an image forming apparatus is configured to receive a drive force from the image apparatus to supply sheet to the image forming apparatus. The sheet supply apparatus includes a sheet supply tray, a sheet supply roller, a first transmission mechanism configured to transmit a drive force from the image forming apparatus to the sheet supply roller, a second transmission mechanism including an output member and configured to transmit a drive force supplied from the image forming apparatus to the output member, a clutch mechanism configured to intermittently transmit a drive force from the image forming apparatus to the second transmission mechanism, a latch member pivotable between a restriction position and an allowance position, a change cam, a sector gear, a rotational force applying member, an engaging member, a first engagement portion, a second engagement portion, and an electromagnetic solenoid.
PRINTER
A printer configured to form an image on roll paper includes a housing configured to house the roll paper and a first guide and a second guide coupled to the housing, the first guide and the second guide each being movable in a width direction of the roll paper, and the first guide being separated from the second guide in the width direction to hold the roll paper therebetween. The printer further includes a detection assembly configured to detect a position of the first guide and a position of the second guide and a controller configured to determine a width of the roll paper based on a detection result of the detection assembly.
Image forming apparatus having tray for receiving recording medium
In an image forming apparatus, a tray having first and second receiving portions is configured to move between a first position, at which at least part of the tray is positioned inside an apparatus body, and a second position, at which the tray is outside the apparatus body. The tray in the first position allows a first recording medium to be conveyed from the first receiving portion. When the tray is in the first position, the second receiving portion is configured to move between a third position, which is at an upstream side relative to a first opening of the apparatus body in a second direction, and a fourth position, which is at a downstream side relative to the third position in the second direction. The second receiving portion at the third position allows a second recording medium to be conveyed from the second receiving portion in the second direction.
Recording device and conveyance device
A recording device includes a recording unit that performs recording on a recording medium with the recording medium being stored in a rolled state and unrolled from one end. The recording device includes a pair of abutting rollers, a support roller and a movable mechanism. The abutting rollers face each other, and convey the recording medium while the recording medium is nipped between the abutting rollers. The support roller is arranged on a downstream side of the abutting rollers in a conveyance path of the recording medium. The support roller abuts the recording medium to support the recording medium. The movable mechanism changes a position of at least one of the abutting rollers to switch between an abutting state in which the other of the abutting rollers abuts the recording medium and a released state in which the other of the abutting rollers does not abut the recording medium.
Printing and perforating machine
Printing and perforating machine comprising a perforating mechanism (1) and a printing mechanism (30), the perforating mechanism (1) comprising a perforating element (2, 7) provided with piercing elements (5); and a support element (4, 8) that defines with the perforating element (2, 7) a space for the passage of a sheet material (3), forming holes on the sheet material (3) when it passes through this space. With this machine, the perforation of the sheet material is carried out during the printing process thereof, preferably a digital printing, in a synchronized way, eliminating time and handling for loading and unloading the roll of sheet material in a conventional sheet material perforating machine.
Drive apparatus and belt unit for image forming apparatus
A drive apparatus, including: a first rotary member; a second rotary member, which is provided with an axle hole, and which receives drive power from the first rotary member or transmits drive power to the first rotary member; an axle member, which is inserted into the axle hole and engages with the first rotary member so as to transmit drive power between the first rotary member and the second rotary member; and a coupling member for coupling the first rotary member and the second rotary member; wherein the coupling member is provided with a sliding portion which is disposed between the first rotary member and the second rotary member in the radial direction and which slides over either one of the first rotary member and the second rotary member when the first rotary member and the second rotary member rotate integrally with each other via the axle member.
RECORDING MATERIAL FEEDING DEVICE
A recording material feeding device includes a stacking portion, a driving source, a holding member, a torque limiter for limiting transmission of a driving torque from the driving source to the stacking portion in a case that the driving source rotates in a state in which the holding member holds the position of the stacking portion; a storing portion for storing information on a holding state of the holding member; and a controller for controlling the driving source to rotate at a rotational speed slower when the information is information indicating that the holding member holds the position of the stacking portion than when the information is information indicating that the holding member does not hold the position of the stacking portion.
Belt device and image forming apparatus including same
A belt device for an image forming apparatus, includes an endless belt; a first and second support rollers, each including a rotary shaft, that support the belt with tension; a contacted member that contacts the belt; a shaft displacement device to displace any of the rotary shafts of the support rollers; and a main rotary shaft disposed at a side of the rotary shaft of the first support roller moved by the shaft displacement device along a stretching direction of the stretched surface of the endless belt that the contacted member contacts, relative to a contact portion between the endless belt and the contacted member, and at an opposite side of the contacted member in a direction perpendicular to the stretching direction of the endless belt. As the first support roller and the second roller rotate about the main rotary shaft, the endless belt is separated from the contacted member.
MEDIUM FEEDING APPARATUS, MEDIUM FEEDING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY RECORDING MEDIUM
A medium feeding apparatus includes a media tray, a feed roller to sequentially feed a plurality of media placed on the media tray, a separation roller located facing the feed roller, and circuitry. The circuitry detects a leading end position of each of a plurality of media in a nip between the feed roller and the separation roller, determines a distance between a leading end position of a preceding medium, which is of the plurality of media in the nip, and a leading end position of a medium following the preceding medium, and sets a characteristic value of the separation roller based on the distance.
