PERIPHERAL DEVICE WITH GEAR TRAIN PROTECTION
A gear train assembly comprises a gear train and a motor to drive the gear train. A shaft which is driven by the gear train, a rubber roller engaging the shaft and being co-axial therewith. The gear train also comprises a roller gear disposed on the shaft. The roller gear disengages from a second gear that drives the shaft or the rubber roller in response to pulling of media from the peripheral containing the gear train.
PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus includes: a first blade that cuts a printing medium; a cutter motor; a drive gear that engages the first blade and is rotated by the cutter motor to drive the first blade; a rotator that rotates in conjunction with the drive gear; a photosensor that includes a light-receiving/emitting section including a light-emitting element and a light-receiving element and that includes a sensor substrate that outputs a first detection signal or a second direction signal in accordance with whether or not detection light emitted from the light-emitting element to the light-receiving element is blocked by the rotator; a first cutter frame that supports the photosensor; and a cover member that covers the sensor substrate between the cover member and the first cutter frame.
IMAGE RECORDING APPARATUS
There is provided an image recording apparatus which is provided with a housing, a holder configured to be drawable from the housing, a supporting member supported by the holder and configured to support a sheet roll, a liquid container supported by the holder and configured to hold liquid, a conveyance mechanism arranged in an inner space of the housing and configured to convey a sheet unwound from the sheet roll, and a print head arranged in the inner space of the housing and configured to record an image on the sheet conveyed by the conveyance mechanism. The liquid container is configured to include at least one of tanks configured to hold liquid to be provided to the print head and a waste tank configured to pool liquid discharged from the print head.
PAPER ROLL SUPPORT DEVICE FOR PRINTING APPARATUS
Disclosed herein is a paper roll support device for a printing apparatus. The paper roll support device includes: first and second paper guides arranged to be opposite to each other, and configured to support a paper roll; a support panel configured to fix the first and second paper guides; first and second transfer rods installed such that first ends thereof are fixed to the first and second paper guides, and configured to be movable in conjunction with each other; a pulley provided to be rotatable coaxially with the pinion gear; a belt installed such that one end thereof is fixed to one side of the outer circumference of the pulley and the other end thereof is fixed to one end of one of the first and second transfer rods, and configured to rotate the pulley; and an elastic member configured to reversely rotate the pulley to its original position.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus can prevent an apparatus main body from moving when a recording medium storing cassette is extracted from the apparatus main body. The image forming apparatus has an apparatus main body, a recording medium storing cassette, and a manual feed tray arranged swingably over the recording medium storing cassette. The recording medium storing cassette has a first side face a handle part provided in the first side face. The manual feed tray has a second side face arranged continuous with the first side face. In a part over the handle part, between the first side face and the second side face, a supporting portion in the apparatus main body is arranged.
Medium transport device and recording apparatus
A medium transport device includes a first roller that applies a transporting force to a medium, a second roller that applies a transporting force to the medium transported from the first roller, a third roller that applies a transporting force to the medium transported from the second roller, a first rotor that transmits rotational torque to the third roller, a first shaft that is provided away from the first rotor at a first interval, and a second shaft that is provided away from the first rotor at the first interval and at a position different from a position of the first shaft. A shaft center of the first shaft and a shaft center of the second shaft are positioned on a circular arc, the center of which is a rotation center of the second roller.
MEDIUM CONVEYING APPARATUS TO NOTIFY USER OF CLEANING INSTRUCTION OR REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTION OF FEED ROLLER
A medium conveying apparatus includes a storage device, a feed roller to feed a medium, and a processor to determine whether a conveyance abnormality of the medium fed by the feed roller has occurred, store in the storage device that the conveyance abnormality has occurred and stop feeding of the medium when the processor determines that the conveyance abnormality has occurred, and notify a user of a cleaning instruction or a replacement instruction of the feed roller based on an occurrence degree of the conveyance abnormality for a plurality of media fed by the feed roller.
Printer
A printer includes a holder configured to house rolled recording paper, a cover that is attached to the holder to be openable and closable relative to the holder, and a contact part that is attached to the cover and configured to contact the recording paper. The contact part is configured such that the contact part substantially point-contacts the recording paper, and positions on the contact part contacting the recording paper change as the recording paper is unrolled.
Printer configured to set operation mode to one of first mode and second mode for appropriately determining whether to allow subsequent print control
A printer includes: a printing head; a conveyor; a cutter for cutting the medium to provide a segmented medium; a discharge roller; a counter roller; a sensor for detecting whether the segmented medium remains between the discharge roller and the counter roller; and a controller configured to perform: setting an operation mode to one of a first mode and a second mode depending on a medium kind; controlling the printing head and the conveyor to perform a first print control on the medium; controlling the sensor to detect whether the segmented medium has been removed; and permitting a second print control to be performed. When the operation mode is the first mode, the second print control is permitted after the sensor detects whether the segmented medium has been removed. When the operation mode is the first mode, the second print control is permitted without controlling the sensor.
Gimbaled monoclamps
In some examples, a gimbaled monoclamp can include a housing including a first opening, a second opening, and a pivot point, a clamp disposed at least partially in the housing and including a first pad and a second pad to extend through the first opening and the second opening, respectively, and a pin extending through an opening in the clamp into the pivot point to couple the clamp to the housing in a gimbaled manner.
