Information-presentation structure with impact-sensitive color change and overlying protection or/and surface color control
A variable-color region (106) of an information-presentation structure extends to an exposed surface (102) at a surface zone (112), normally appears along it as a principal color, and includes impact-sensitive color-change structure (132) and protective structure (242) lying at least partly between the zone and the impact-sensitive color-change structure. A segment (142) of the impact-sensitive color-change structure responds to an object (104) impacting the zone at an object-contact area (116) by causing an impact-dependent portion (138) of the variable-color region to temporarily appear, typically via light emission, along a print area (118) of the zone as changed color materially different from the principal color if the impact meets threshold impact criteria. The print area closely matches the object-contact area in size, shape, and location. The protective structure materially protects the impact-sensitive color-change structure from being damaged by matter impacting, situated on, and/or moving along the zone.
Multi-can marker stick
A device that can hold at least two cans of spray paint or chalk, thus enabling marking with different colors using a single device. The device comprises a staff, a can holster, a grip, a trigger and a selector. The selector comprises a selector rod moveable in or alongside the staff. At one end of the selector rod is a selector knob and at the other is an engagement mechanism that engages the spray valve of each can, one can at a time. The engagement mechanism comprises a cam and a rocker arm with two opposing fingers, one to engage each spray can when selected. Optionally one or more flag holders may be attached to the staff for holding marker flags.

METHOD FOR MARKING A GROUND SURFACE USING A ROBOT UNIT AND A LOCAL BASE STATION, THE SYSTEM THEREFORE AND USE THEREOF
Provided is a method for marking a ground surface according to a predefined marking pattern using a system including a robot unit and a local base station including acts of providing two flag points, receiving global positioning data of the robot unit using a robot GNSS receiver, receiving global positioning data of the local base station using a base GNSS receiver, and establishing a local base station position using the received global positioning data of the local base station. A method wherein the predefined marking pattern is arranged relative to the two flag point positions and wherein the local base station position is a system reference point of the system. Also provided is a system for marking a ground surface according to a predefined marking pattern and the use thereof or parts thereof.
