Dynamic assignment of selection buttons on a destination entry system of an elevator
A system for dynamic assignment of buttons on destination entry terminals (DETs) is provided. The system performs operations that include identifying a message for display on a touchscreen display of a destination entry system of an elevator. The message includes a selection button for display on the touchscreen display. The at least one selection button is displayed at a first location on the touchscreen display. The at least one selection button is displayed at a different location on the touchscreen display once a rearrangement criterion is satisfied.
Elevator safety device
An elevator safety device (120) is configured for restricting the movement of an elevator car (106) of an elevator system (102) along its pathway in order to prevent the elevator car (106) from moving beyond at least one limit position. The elevator safety device (120) is configured for performing at least one learning run (220a, 220b) for setting the at least one limit position.
Computing allocation decisions in an elevator system
A method and an apparatus for computing allocation decisions in an elevator system is provided. Historical passenger batch journey data relating to the elevator system is obtained, wherein each passenger batch journey includes an origin and a destination floor of the journey, the number of passengers of the journey and the time of the journey. Historical passenger traffic statistics are constructed based on the passenger batch journey data, and expected calls are modelled based on the passenger traffic statistics. The modelled expected call is taken into account in computing subsequent allocation decisions in the elevator system.
Biometric pre-identification
A station device in a biometric pre-identification system uses identity to perform one or more actions. Identities are determined (such as via a backend) using biometric information. A biometric pre-identification device obtains biometric information and/or a digital representation thereof from a person approaching the station device. The biometric pre-identification device transmits such to the station device, facilitating the station to begin and/or perform various actions. The station device begins or performs the actions using the identity determined based on the biometric information before the person arrives at the station device.
Method for the call allocation in an elevator group
A method for the call allocation in an elevator group uses a call allocation unit of an elevator group control. In the call allocation unit, passenger flow data of the elevator group is used to adapt call allocation parameters to improve the performance of the elevator group. The public traffic data is retrieved from at least one public transportation system, and is used to supplement expected passenger flow data for the adaption of call allocation parameters.
Monitoring unit for an elevator system, and method
A monitoring unit, for monitoring an elevator system, includes a circuit assembly having a power supply unit for dispensing a grid-dependent first operating voltage and at least one processor-controlled monitoring module to actively and/or passively ascertain state data of the elevator system. An energy storage unit, that dispenses a grid-independent second operating voltage, and a first switching device supply the first operating voltage to the monitoring module during a normal operation and supply the second operating voltage to the monitoring module in the event of a power outage. A non-volatile data storage unit that stores a variable operating parameter and a second switching device deactivate parts of the circuit assembly. The monitoring module actuates the second switching device based on the stored operating parameter that has a first value before the monitoring unit is started and has a second value after the monitoring unit is started.
Adjustable multicar elevator system
A multicar elevator system includes a group of individually drivable elevator cars and two shafts coupled to each other with at least two transfer channels. The system further includes a control unit configured to operate the system in either of two operating modes, wherein in the first mode the group of elevator cars is arranged to travel to a first vertical direction in the first shaft and to another vertical direction in the second shaft through the transfer channels. In the second mode, a first sub-group of elevator cars are parked in one of the shafts and at least one elevator car belonging to a second sub-group of elevator cars is arranged to travel in the both vertical directions in the other shaft upon a call.
Capacity shifting between partially-overlapping elevator groups
A method of operating a building elevator system within a building having a plurality of landings including: controlling a first elevator group; controlling a second elevator group; adjusting a range of landings served by one or more elevator systems of the second elevator group in response to at least one of the predicted passenger response time, the time of day, the amount of traffic received by the first elevator group, the amount of traffic received by the second elevator group, the amount of traffic within the first range of landings, the amount of traffic within the second range of landings, the amount of traffic received by the first elevator group relative to the amount of traffic received by the second elevator group, and the amount of traffic within the first range of landings relative to an amount of traffic within the second range of landings.
