Pneumatic elevator with pressure regulator
A pressure regulator includes a fluid transfer chamber defining one or more apertures. A flow control element is disposed within the fluid transfer chamber and is movable with respect to the fluid transfer chamber. An actuator is secured to the flow control element and is operable to move the flow control element with respect to the fluid transfer chamber to control fluid flow through the apertures in the fluid transfer chamber.
BRAKE CIRCUIT ACCESS FROM LANDING
A method of operating an elevator system is provided and includes opening a door of a door jamb at a landing of the elevator system to reveal an upper panel and a cover of a lower panel which are disposed in a cavity defined in the door jamb, unlocking and opening the cover, removing the lower panel from the cavity and accessing and controlling one or more electrical and/or electro-mechanical elevator components using the lower panel.
Electrical power transmission to elevator system cars
An elevator system includes a hoistway, an elevator car movable along the hoistway, and a power management and transfer system. The power management and transfer system includes an electrical power source, a hoistway contactor secured in the hoistway and operably connected to the electrical power source, and a car contactor disposed at the elevator car, such that when the car contactor is brought into operable contact with the hoistway contactor, electrical power is transferrable between the power source and the elevator car.
Device for controlling an elevator system
A device for controlling an elevator system, the elevator system having an elevator shaft delimited by a shaft wall including a wall opening connecting an inner face of the shaft wall to an outer face of the shaft wall, is positioned in the wall opening. The device has a housing receiving a controller for controlling the elevator system, wherein the housing includes a housing opening allowing access to the controller and the housing is rotatably mounted in the wall opening for rotation between a first position and a second position in an operational state of the device. The housing opening is accessible from the outer face of the shaft wall in the first position and from the inner face of the shaft wall in the second position.
