ELEVATOR SYSTEM CONTROL BASED ON BUILDING AND ROPE SWAY
20200239274 · 2020-07-30 ·

An illustrative example elevator control system includes a plurality of sway sensors situated within a hoistway of the building. The sway sensors respectively include a contact surface situated to be contacted by a vertically extending elongated member of an elevator when the elongated member moves laterally in the hoistway. The sway sensors respectively provide an indication of contact between the contact surface and the elongated member. A controller receives an indication of building movement and the indications from the sway sensors. The controller determines whether at least one condition exists in the hoistway based on the indications and implements an adjustment to elevator movement control when the at least one condition exists.

ELEVATOR CALL REGISTRATION WHEN A CAR IS FULL
20200239268 · 2020-07-30 ·

An illustrative example elevator system includes a plurality of elevator cars. A dispatch controller assigns a first one of the elevator cars to travel to a landing in response to a first request for elevator service at that landing. At least one call button is operative to place a second request while the first one of the elevator cars is situated at the landing in response to the first request. The dispatch controller assigns a second one of the elevator cars to travel to the landing in response to the second request.

MONITORING IMAGE TRANSMISSION APPARATUS FOR ELEVATORS

A monitoring image transmission apparatus for elevators that can reduce network load is provided. A monitoring image transmission apparatus for elevators according to the present invention includes: an event input section (17) configured to receive input of a signal indicating an event occurring in connection with an elevator; an image management section (18) configured to select an image at a specific time point or during a specific time period with respect to a timing at which the signal is received by the event input section (17), in an image shot by a camera installed in at least one of a car or a hall of the elevator, in accordance with an image selection rule; and an image transmission section (20) configured to transmit the image selected by the image management section (18) to an image analysis server (16) over a network (15).

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSIGNING ELEVATOR SERVICE BASED ON A DESIRED LOCATION OF A PLURALITY OF PASSENGERS
20200207577 · 2020-07-02 ·

Disclosed is an elevator system including a controller configured for rendering a plurality of determinations and executing one or more communications, including a first determination that captured video on a first floor indicates a first passenger is at waiting for elevator service, a second determination that the first passenger is associated with a first room on a second floor or a first event on the second floor, and a first communication to instruct a first elevator car to transport the first passenger from the first floor to the second floor.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSIGNING ELEVATOR SERVICE BASED ON A DETECTED NUMBER OF PASSENGERS

Disclosed is an elevator system having a controller configured for: rendering a first determination that an elevator service call is placed at a first lobby, rendering a second determination that captured video data indicates a plurality of passengers including a first passenger is at the first lobby, and executing a first communication to instruct a first elevator car to effect elevator service at the first lobby based on the first determination and the second determination.

Predictive analytics to determine elevator path and staging

In an approach for determining an optimal path for an elevator, a processor receives information, wherein the information includes social media data associated with a user and calendar entries associated with the user, indicating one or more locations within a building. A processor analyzes the received information. A processor determines a location to send an elevator within the building to minimize movement of the elevator, based on the analyzed information. A processor causes the elevator to move to the location.

A conveyance system includes a transmitter configured to generate a signal; a receiver configured to receive the signal; the transmitter and receiver located so that the signal passes through a passenger area of the conveyance system; a controller configured to receive a signal strength of the signal received at the receiver; the controller configured to determine a loading factor in the passenger area in response to the signal received at the receiver.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING ELEVATOR SYSTEM DURING LOCKDOWN
20200180907 · 2020-06-11 ·

Disclosed is an elevator system including a system controller, wherein the system controller is configured to: render a plurality of determinations for effecting elevator service during a lockdown condition, including a first determination that an elevator car is transporting a first passenger to a first floor, a second determination that a lockdown event is occurring at a second floor, a third determination for the elevator car to transport the first passenger to a third floor to avoid travel proximate the second floor, and execute one or more communications including: a first communication to an elevator car controller for the elevator car to effect the third determination.

Destination call control for different traffic types

The invention relates to a method for allocating elevators of an elevator group to landing calls given in the elevator group, the elevator group having a control unit having a destination call control, which elevator control unit is connected to determining means for the prevailing traffic condition in the elevator group. Further the control unit comprises at least a first and second operating mode which are selected according to the prevailing traffic condition, wherein the first operating mode uses immediate call allocation of the elevators which includes the display of the allocated elevator on a destination operating panel immediately after having issued a landing call and wherein the second mode comprises the allocation of an elevator to a landing call before the arrival of the allocated elevator call to the landing where the landing call has been issued. The invention allows an adaption of destination control to different traffic situations.
