Sports wall assembly
Rate of deceleration is an important factor in determining the severity of injuries, such as head and neck injuries, possibly sustained when participants collide with a wall assembly while playing, for example, ice hockey. The described wall assemblies each include a support assembly and a movable wall assembly supported by and movable with respect to the support assembly. Telescoping parts of the movable wall assembly enable deflection of the movable wall assembly to complex angles with respect to the support assembly. In addition, movable wall assemblies can be couple such that impact on one wall assembly can cause deflection of an adjacent wall assembly. Covers, shields, and spacers can be positioned to decrease gap formation during deflection of the movable wall assembly to reduce the risk of pinch points.
SURFING WAVE-MAKING APPARATUS AND SURFING PRACTICE FACILITY EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME
To provide a surfing wave-making apparatus that is capable of making the so-called tubular plunging breakers which are suitable for surfing, and which have continuous crests ranging from a collapse stage to a stage immediately before collapse. The present invention comprises: a container body 110 that is open at the front thereof, is equipped with at least a bottom part, and is capable of trapping water in part of the inner space thereof; and a moving track 120 that allows the container body 110 to travel thereon and that is equipped with a slope surface track 121 and an in-pool track 123. The container body 110 falls along the slope surface track 121, plunges into water of the pool as a result of free-fall motion, and travels on the in-pool track 123 in the container body 110 decelerates, only the water held inside is thrust forward in the form of an isolated traveling wave 202 so as to produce a plunging breaker suitable for surfing.
Support member for elevating a retaining wall panel
A support member for elevating a retaining wall panel includes a base arrangement with a first area and a second area. The base arrangement engages an underlying mounting surface. A height elevating section extends from the base arrangement proximate to the second area to a third area. The height elevating section has a receiving area configured to receive a wall panel. A sloped surface extends between the base arrangement proximate the first area and the height elevating section proximate to the third area. The sloped surface is configured to support a load bearing panel.

Impact-reducing dasher board assembly
Devices and methods for dasher board assemblies for sports such as hockey. The dasher board assemblies of various embodiments are configured to reduce impact forces when a user collides with the assembly by increasing the flexibility of the dasher board, which allows for a more gradual deceleration. In some embodiments, the dasher board assembly defines a gap behind the dasher board to allow space for deceleration. In certain embodiments, a foam material is placed between the dasher board and a frame of the assembly. In embodiments, a spline connects adjacent dasher boards without rigid connection to adjacent vertical frame elements. In embodiments, the assembly is configured to provide puck play characteristics that are comparable to conventional dasher board assemblies.
