Disclosed is a method for connecting a first device that is configured for moving to a non-moving network, having: transmitting data over a wired data line from the first device to a second device, wherein the second device is stationary; transmitting the data from the second device over a wireless network; receiving further data by the second device from the wireless network; and transmitting the further data from the second device to the first device.
Elevator car wall imaging system and method
An elevator car wall imaging system (20) is provided. The elevator car wall imaging system (20) includes an interior region of an elevator car, the interior region defined by a floor, a ceiling and a plurality of interior side walls. The elevator car wall imaging system (20) also includes an image generator (22) operatively connected to a network, the image generator (22) configured to generate an image on at least one a portion of at least one of the plurality of interior side walls, the image representing a weather condition currently present in an exterior environment surrounding a structure within which the elevator car is disposed.
MOBILE INTERFACE, COMMUNICATION, AND CONTROL SYSTEM TO FACILITATE OPERATION OF ELEVATOR CARS WITH MEDIA OPTIONS
An elevator interface, communication, and control system including: a first elevator car configured to move through a first elevator shaft, the first elevator car including elevator doors configured to open and close; a first controller in electronic communication with the first elevator car; a conversion module in electronic communication with the first controller; and a first wireless access point in electronic communication with the conversion module through a hardwired connection, the first wireless access point being configured to wirelessly receive a first command from a first mobile computing device via a wireless protocol, wherein the first wireless access point is configured to transmit the first command to the conversion module, the conversion module is configured to transmit the first command to the first controller, and the first controller is configured to transmit the first command to the first elevator car.
COOLING SYSTEM FOR ELEVATOR WITH ELECTRONIC VISUAL DISPLAYS
This disclosure relates to a cooling system for an elevator with electronic visual displays, and a corresponding method. An example system includes an elevator car having an inner wall, and an electronic visual display mounted to the inner wall so as to define a gap between the inner wall and the electronic visual display. Further, fluid is configured to flow through the gap to cool the electronic visual display.
ELEVATOR-BASED AUDIO/VIDEO/TEXTING EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM
An elevator-based audio/video/texting emergency communications system configured to facilitate communication between passengers within an elevator car and designated emergency service providers is provided. The system includes cameras located within the elevator car. The cameras observe an interior space of the elevator car. Speakers are located within the elevator car and broadcast audio communication. Microphones are located within the elevator car and transmit audio communication from passengers. Displays located within the elevator car facilitate two-way text communication with elevator car passengers. A processor assembly receives communication from the cameras, speakers, microphones and displays, and processes the electrical communications for connection with other devices. An elevator car ethernet adapter receives communication from the processor assembly. A building ethernet adapter receives communication from the elevator car ethernet adapter. An ethernet switch receives communication from the elevator car ethernet adapter and connects to peripheral communications systems, thereby forming a local area network.
CONTROL OF MULTIPLE DISPLAYS ASSOCIATED WITH AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM
A control system includes at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code is configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the control system to at least perform: controlling application contents displayed by a plurality of displays associated with an elevator system, each application content having an associated respective priority; obtaining a triggering event associated with the elevator system; and changing application content of at least one of the plurality of displays based on the triggering event and the priority associated with each of the application contents.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATED CONFIGURATION LEARNING FOR DIGITAL ELEVATOR IN-CAR DISPLAYS AND VOICE ANNUNCIATORS
Methods, systems, and control devices may be employed to configure an in-car display of an elevator system based on a learning procedure. One example method may involve inputting information required for the learning and starting the learning procedure for installing or updating a configuration of the in-car display. The learning procedure may include the steps of gathering floor information of all floors of the elevator system and generating a configuration of the in-car display based on the gathered floor information. The information required for the learning procedure may include at least one of an access authorization code or a total number of floors accessible to the elevator system.
Combined dashboard weather, escalator condition based maintenance data
A monitoring system for an escalator including: a local gateway device; an analytic engine in communication with the local gateway device through a cloud computing network; a sensing apparatus in wireless communication with the local gateway device through a short-range wireless protocol, the sensing apparatus including: an inertial measurement unit sensor configured to detect acceleration data of the escalator, wherein at least one of the sensing apparatus, the local gateway device, and the analytic engine is configured to determine an operating mode of the escalator in response to at least the acceleration data; and an application for a computing device, the application being configured to display weather data simultaneously with the operating mode of the escalator on a display device of the computing device.
Transformative elevator display system
The invention is generally directed to an elevator display system which provides the illusion of observing a visual narrative of an elevator trip which is made to appear as if the actual elevator has glass walls and one is observing a fanciful elevator trip. The elevator can have a variety of different fanciful rides which are not restricted by the constraints of time, location or physics.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING ELEVATOR SYSTEM DURING LOCKDOWN
Disclosed is an elevator system including a system controller, wherein the system controller is configured to: render a plurality of determinations for effecting elevator service during a lockdown condition, including a first determination that an elevator car is transporting a first passenger to a first floor, a second determination that a lockdown event is occurring at a second floor, a third determination for the elevator car to transport the first passenger to a third floor to avoid travel proximate the second floor, and execute one or more communications including: a first communication to an elevator car controller for the elevator car to effect the third determination.
